Little Trumpety Baby Box

It is a new Thursday this week. That means it is time for

Shanna Day Inspiration at Loves Rubberstamps

I got to use my Portrait again for this fun baby box I created. I love cutting 3d objects with this. It is so much easier then having to do everything by hand and trust me... I may have a Math degree but honestly, I am not architect! Maybe I should have went to school for that! It would really come in handy now!

I colored this image with copics. I love the way I colored him too. I was trying a vintage technique of coloring. I would like to call it a European style honestly. So many over in Sweden and the UK and other parts of Europe color with the beautiful and soft technique using Distress Inks. I am not so brave to try the watercoloring. I have been dying too but just don't have the time to sit and really try!

Here you can see how deep the box is. You can fit quite a bit in here.

Use Papers You Don't Like

There is a new challenge over at

The theme this week is

Use Ugly Papers

I decided to keep this card fast and simple. The idea was to use papers that you consider ugly. I am not going to lie I don't really own ugly papers! There may be a few here and there not to my taste. Which is what I used to make my card. I do not think I am a fan of tv's on paper hints why it is in the background. I still like the flowers on the front panel but these still are not something I would use.

Wooden Treasure Box

Good morning everyone.

I hope you all had an awesome weekend. Can you believe it is officially... SPRING!!!! I am hoping for no more snow and I am not going to lie no more rain for a bit. I am tired of the dogs coming int he house muddy and I do not have a mud room!

Anywhoot enough jibber jabber onto today's bit of goodness.
I get to share this awesome project I created for Gina's Designs. This month is also special for Gina's Designs because Gina's Designs is doing a cross promotion with with Crafting Supplies 1

SOOOOOO.... Here she is the lovely box who got altered (in a game host announcers voice with people clapping int he background)!!!

I couldn't resist but I love this box. She sat in a bin waiting patiently to be altered. I gave her a good painting mixed with some Ranger Ink Brown and some Copper Tattered Angels special paint.

Then after she got her paint job Gina's Designs Texture Sheet - Gears  got its gold acrylic paint job with some heat gun for added texture. I happened to rub some Lumiere Halo Green paint on a couple places too for added touch of something.

I used the filigree, some of the flowers, and the lace from Crafting Supplies 1 to finish off the box.

I so you like her. I know I am happy with her. She is a little bit of a treasure.

Sweet Memories Layout

Hey everyone. Have you stopped by to check out the monthly challenge over at Gina's Designs? If not click here and check it out! You can do whatever you would like with the challenge. You can create a home decor piece, make some altered art, and you can do a layout too.

I chose to play along with a layout. I am not going to lie I told the girl what the heck am I suppose to do.... I had some ideas and lots of stuff all over the floor trying to see it in my head. Finally this is what I came up with!

There are tons of layers to this layout...Okay maybe not tons but still lots of fun layered up.

First I used a Prima stencil with some Lindy's to start the background.
Then I used a different Prim stencil with some modeling paste.
After all that dried I went to town with some Twinkling H20's!
While that dried I painted my chipboard with some Creative Inspirations Paints after they first got a coat of gesso! The gesso helps a true color to show as the chipboard will make the color appear darker.

I did use a canvas resist strip colored with Twinkling H20's.

Here you can see I did some stamping with Archival Ink and some Prima Chalk Inks. I love the metallic chalks and how it pops on top of the pink!

Of course it wouldn't be a layout without some Prima flowers. So I dug and dug and dug more to find the right combo to go with this layout. I really love pink and grey! THis layout was fun and fast. I think the longest part was the dry time but in the end I was very happy.

Items Used:

Prima Stencils, Stamps, Flowers, Resist Canvas, and Chalk Ink

Corrugated Board

There is a new challenge over at

The theme this week is

Corrugated Board

Well I must say I got to use my Portrait cut machine again. I made a pillow box and I kept it simple. I used some fun colors and I forgot originally to use corrugated board! Can you believe it. I have had a rough time with this time change business and let me say I am thrown off with everything right now!

So here is the finished project. You can add whatever you want on the inside of this thing even a candy bar or two.

I colored the image with copics. I am not sure how I like how I colored her but she is still a cutie.

Creative

Happy Hump Day!!! Okay well Wednesday... The week is almost over do you have plans for this weekend? I do we are taking my babies grandma out to dinner for her birthday. I am so excited I get to go eat out. I have been a cooking machine for a while and its been 3 weeks since I have eaten out. That is 3 weeks straight of fixing breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! I know that may sound bad but it's nice to not have to cook and clean up once in a while!!!

So enough about that today I am sharing another fun creation that takes very little to throw together.

I created this for Scraps of Darkness.

Make sure you check their blog for awesome inspiration. There will be a video on how I created this fun little project.

Here is the link to check out the kits I used to create this little mini inspiration book for myself.
