Easel Card

CREATIVE CARD CREW HAS A NEW CHALLENGE

"EASEL CARD"

Our sponsor this challenge is

Michelle's Scrapbooking store

The awesome part of easel cards... you finish the inside!
I have had a hard time finishing the isnde of my cards... I have a good deal of cards to finisht he insides of that I made before my commitment...and since my commitment...I only have 1 I did not finish the inside of... That is good right.... ???? Okay maybe not but I an trying my hardest y'all.

Well my world is getting better and worse all at the same time. I need a insurance specialist/state insurance specialist. Apparently since the new health reform maternity is not covered in regular insuance.... and the state I live in does not offer assistance for maternity care!!!! In CA I did not have this issue and we want more kids but my fiance does not think we should have to pay and arm an a leg to have one.... that is what insurance is suppose to be for right??? And of course his line of work being one of the most important jobs in the world does not offer insurance because he works 60-70 hours a week but because it is all contracted through seperate companies he can't have group insurance which still offers maternity covergae! I want to move back to CA where I can have kids but of course  he does not want to move back to CA where the state helps out unmarried mothers with the maternity costs. Sad because we can afford insurance and can afford to have another kid but not afford it.

I am just kind of done with the South and some of its backward ways and country roads...great for city folk to visit to take a break but when I have things to do and places to be... I hate spending all day to get there and all day to do it!

Sorry for the long post. Now onto my creation. Isn't she a doll. i love maggies with almost all my heart. I love simply sassy, mo images, lotv images, and those kraftin' kimmies. I love a few others in there too! I have acquired quite a collection of stamps this past year and cannot wait to keep getting more.

I read a saying today ont the bugaboo stamp website

markers and ink $1200
paper $899
stamps $6900

but a handmade card.... priceless...

That is truly how I feel. Then I tell myself hobbies/businesses are also a tax write off!

Anyway I love my stamps and this sitting angel from a maggie Christmas collection is just the beginning. For maggie lovers out there the new Christmas line is to ooo and aaaaa over. I cannot wait to get some!

Well this is all i have to say today. Of course my card is the usual maggie stamp, copic markers, stickles, RRR lace, gold embossing, crackle paint, inkadinkado sentiment and WOC flowers.

Altered Project

Hey everyone. Well I am super tired I did not go to bed until 3 am... I am thinking the pain I was feeling was from ovarian cysts.... which I started getting after I had my daughter.  Although fibroids run in my family... I am way too scared to go tot eh doctor. I really want two more kids before it gets to the point where I need surgery! And here where I live surgery is something scary!

Well I am really late with everything today... I altered a box... I am super not happy with it but I love the coloring I did. I haven't colored cranberry colors yet so I was really impressed with what I did. I will most likely use this box as copic paper holder for when I pre-cut shapes out like circles and ovals.

LOTV Fairy

Hey Everyone here is my second post of the day.... I am trying so hard to keep myself busy. Crafting right now is about the only thing keeping me happy and working out at the gym! Of course I love my daughter but terrible 2's is in high effect at the moment and she is cranky from the time she is up to the time she goes down.... everything is a fight with her and she has gone backwards in potty training lol or is peeing in her bed on purpose! So today I am applying for another DT position. I am trying to get to where I make a card a day! I want to practice techniques and color better! I also want to make my cards crazy beautiful. My goal is to be great and published more importantly I would love to be a part of the The Official Magnolia Team some day! Right now I am not on that scale but with practice and being part of these wonderful groups out here I hope to achieve better than anything I think I can do. All you wonderful creators out there are my inspiration.

Without further ado I have a card I made to apply for another fun design team. My pictures do not norally look this dark. i tried to lighten them up but my lighting today is just not working with me and how dark and cloudy it is. Unfortunately, I have not upgraded my light to one of those nice lights thats shows everything like natural light.

I used a LOTV stamp and sentiment, DCWV paper, copic markers, hemp string from RRR, prima flowers, and  buttons from the ribbon girl. Wish me luck... I am so excite that all these blogs are having design team calls... I really want to get on some and possibly be there for a long long long time!

Sunday Card

PAPER SUNDAES HAS A NEW CHALLENGE

" Anything goes"

The sponsor this week is

Who doesn't love an anything goes challenge...makes our lives easy for the one challenge right!
Well I decided to try and make a book... how did I do?
I think I survived until I decided to try and make spiderwebs with my glue gun. I cannot take ownership of this idea and as I checked my internet history to figure out where I saw it my internet had cleared itself! I am so sorry to who I owe this wonderful idea too.
Isn't this a fun idea though! I cannot wait to make more now that I know how to make them. i will definitely make  a few for Christmas and when it comes time for Easter!

I used a lot of distressing on this card ink and torn papers. I ued Echo park design papers.... Once again another company that tries to save tries but wastes ink!!!! really I'd rather recycled paper and be able to use all the papers in the pad then wasting it! I am sure there is some scientific reasoning. I colored in purple...I think this is my true first time using purple ink all the way! I ran out of my c1 so I ma paitently awaiting my refill ink. I used some inkadinkado stamps and my sentiment is from the new Kraftin' Kimmie Halloween collection and some ribbon from the RRR ribbon club!  Hopefully those out there can try this book. FUN FUN FUN.

A Little Something

Good Afternoon... Today is a rainy day. Thank goodness it's not like the other day where everything that could go wrong was. It definitely feels like the weekend for sure. Well I just found out I did not make it on the Sweet Stampin' team booo whooo.... Anyway I am applying to the JUGS team. I will not lie I have rarely played with them since I just found them a few challenges ago and bam DT Call... I love being on teams and being creative. They have a system of challenges so it is easy to be prepared for what is coming up. WISH ME LUCK!!!! They are a group of talented women and I would so love to be a part of that!

SO for the application process they are you to create something from a template and I loved making this box. Splitcoaststampers is a life saver! Then they ask you to follow a sketch. I just got so new simply sassy digis... I love the images... these girls truly vary in size so be very aware they are jpg not really png like the artist says. Also you really have to use your ruler and judgement when printing them... a seasoned digi printer or use lots of practice paper and draft printing so you do not waste ink!

I thought this would be a cute image to play along since there were some challenges I could play with. I love her all cozied out in a hoodie..... that is me.... I love it when it is cold... I have sooooo many hoodies! Growing up in CA you never really need a jacket, even when it snows and your skiing or snowboarding!  I used a LOTV sentiment and some random ribbon I had. I used copics... I am getting to the point where I am almost ready to start trying distress inks... I should be starting classes next month once this holiday thing settles down for me. Well Wish me luck and I'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge from Paper Sundaes!

Button Up ( Use lots of buttons)

I used some buttons from my stash for this challenge. I used lace from my RRR stash, papers are Bo Bunny, and my flowers are prima. I colored my image with copics and boy what this a tough challenge. I am not the best jean colorer by far. I do not have any button up kind of images but this was a fun one to use. I haven't seen overalls in years like decades! And I am not that old.
Hop on over to the challenge and check out other design teams pages for inspiration.

New Challenge

Good Morning everyone. We have a new challenge over at

Our Challenge is

USE FELT

I created this card thinking I could use my felt flowers where I put my pearls and I was extremely wrong!

So I created the inside of my card using my felt flowers. I was so thankful I still had so jute string to updo my buttons. I did a lot to this card.... I do not have a sewing machine.... I would be thankful to own one. I do not and repeat DO NOT like the sew easy. As you can see the sewing does not look realistic to me. I added stickles, and distress inks, distressed the papers, WOC flowers, and BAM here is my card.

First Paper Cutz DT card

Hello Everyone and good morning. I have a new card to share with everyone. It is my first challenge as a design team member for

Paper Cutz

Our challenge this week is

"Caution... Ghost Crossing"
But you can only use the colors white, orange, black, and purple!

Here I used some cling stamps I have in a holiday stash. I used some white staz on pigment ink and clear embossing powder on my ghosts. I then cut them out and used pop dots to make them stick out off the page. I stamped spider webs around the edges of my paper and used plain cardstock from my stash and distressed them. The ribbon is from the September ribbon club from Really Reasonable Ribbon! I cannot wait to make more cards this week. So play along and have some fun with us and check back later to see what else I have created!

Quick Post

Hello Hello Hello!
I have a quick post I would like to share. Yesterday I had a wonderful evening alone. I should have spent it working on my cards but I went and pampered myself. I stayed up until God know when working though, which made it hard for me to get out of bed and get my butt in the gym!

I will admit I threw this together for a couple challenges and I am not really happy with it. I think it need something and I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it. She is a new maggie I got and I really wanted to hurry up and use her! I used some buttons I got from ribbon girl, my ribbon is from Michaels, my papers are MME, pupmkin button from my stash, and I used copics!

Chocolate!!!

Okay Told you I would be back even sick I am being very productive. My daughter has been just bouncing off the walls and the medicine is no longer effecting her. I just have to keep an eye on her with her tissue...she likes to blow her nose once and get another one or start shredding it liek she is making paper for a hamster cage!

I threw this card together quickjly today... Real easy to all those wow are going to try and commit to the same goal as me...I have succeeded in the first card I have done since  (my last post) I did the inside.... I didn't do this one yet I have the papers right there to do it but my daughter was non stop apple apple apple lol so we took a break and I figured I could upload my blog while she eats.

I find cream a hard to color color if you know what I mean. Being new and not taking any classes yet I definitely need to practice a little more. I am not happy with my image but overall I am happy with the card. I sed two types of lace ribbon on from Ribbon girl and one from RRR. My flowers are WOC and my swirls are from Recollections.  I distressed my edges with scissors instead of my Tim Holtz tool and them used walnut stain DI on the edges. Pretty quick and easy layout. The chocolate part though hard hard hard..... I think I pulled it off a little though!

Thanks for stoping by and check back for some upcoming challenges!

Sassy Tammy

Hello everyone. I have a quick post of a card I threw together over the past few days! I don't have a clue why it took me so long. Although we have been sick here at the house. The weather changes got my baby sick among her horrible allergies and then next day I had a sore throat! My super cute monster with boogies the size of the blob has had me laughing and in high spirits even though we are medicined out!

Wow I got excited and pushed post before I could finish the post!
Lord I need some sleep!

Okay so I used one of my new Simply Sassy gals called Tammy. Is this not cute.... Makes me feel good because I wear glasses. I used a lot on this card. My papers are from MME and I colored her with copics (BV and V) for the purple challenge. I used flock and snow crystal powder on this card....and my viva decor pearl pen I got from stampingscrapping.com. I used my spellbinder die to cute the circle out. I really need to get more dies... I am trying to sell my cricut so I can get more dies! The new dies released look fun and I cannot wait to get my first Marianne Die!!!!!

Well look Tammy over and I will have a nother post up here in a little while.
