A Very Deer Canvas for Gypsy Soul Lasercuts

Hello to all you crafters out there. I am excited to share a new altered canvas I created for some change in weather inspiration for you. Also with Thanksgiving this past week I know some people love to get those Christmas decorations out and get started on the season. So for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts!

So first I covered everything with gesso. Then I added some various sprays, paints, and inks to achieve the look I desired.

For the deer I just covered the chipboard with gesso and after that dried a thin layer of Crackle Accents. After letting the Crackle Accents dry I went over the deer with some Distress Ink so it got into the cracks and then used a paper towel to wipe off the extra ink. The Crackle will act as a resist!

I did the same thing with a leftover piece I had from the Wrought Iron Set. I just love this technique.

I added some stamping and flowers with a word I cut out. With Winter well on it's way I thought this project would inspire you to get into some cold weather themed projects!

Believe Box for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Good morning all you crafters out there. I wanted to try something and had a blast! So let me share this with you what I created for Gina's Designs Lasercuts! So grab you cup and lets have a blast.

With Christmas coming up I decided to play around and make a little Christmas spirit for my desk.

First I started with some casting resin on my embossing folders.

Then I got my sheets ready to cut up to add to my box. You want to do this before they harden completely.

The sheet was thin enough to use my scissors with.

Then I glued them on.  You can use any type of glue I am sure however, I used some soft matte gel medium to adhere the resin to my box.

Here is the finished project.

I used a Mini Bookplate to add the sentiment "Believe".

I finished it off with some layers of paints and Petaloo flowers.

Here you can really see the texture.

I so hope you enjoyed so grab your chippies and create with us!

Altered Tea Box for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Well now that Halloween is over we are all starting to move towards Thanksgiving and Christmas creations. I just wasn't too sure what to create. I have so many things in this bin that need to be altered and I haven't played with the Coffee & Tea Set from Gina's Designs Lasercuts so I set off to create.

I have this wood box that I painted long ago. I thought it would be perfect for holding my various teas! What do you think?

I loved adding everything to this box and making a fancier holder for my teas!

I covered all my pieces of with gesso and them used Distress Paints on the Fern Fronds and Chalk Inks on the tea pot.

I added glossy accents to the wire part of the kettle.

I added some glass glitter to the Stackable Label.

You can see here the box is deep and a great size for strong teas in. Of course metal cans are nice too so I may have to do one for coffee next!

So for this wonderful collaboration between Creative Paper Clay and Gina's Designs Lasercuts I decided to play with some tags. The team has really come up with some amazing projects and I love them all.

Being that this was the first time I played with clay... talk about a new experience! It was fun and light and so easy to play with. I went ahead and and decided to do some stamping into my clay though. I even gave a try at a pumpkin.

So for the first tag I covered the background with Distress Paints and a little spiderweb stenciling.

Then I got to painting my chipboard! The witches legs got some stockings and I gave her shoes a coat of glossy accents!

Here you can see what I stamped on the clay I rolled out and I after it dried I painted it. The stamp had archival ink on it which really brought out the words!

For my second tag, I went with orange and a greetings tag and charm for this tag.

So you can see the pumpkin charm I tried making. I painted it orange and of course green leaves on top. I also rolled out more clay and used a circle I punched out as a reference for cutting the circle. I followed the same stamping technique as on the other piece of clay I stamped on.

My witch and moon got a great bit of layering done to them. The moon got 3 colors of Distress Paints and lots of blending. The witch got black paint then some crackle paint (which while drying one of my kids knocked over) therefore I covered up again with a little more black paint and crackle accents.

Here you can really see some crackle better here in this photo

These are the items I used on my tags:

Artist Trading Block for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Hey all you lovelies out there. I am up today over at Gina's Designs Lasercuts. I know everyone is so excited to share Halloween projects however, I just wanted to do something bright and colorful! (Weird I know!)

So I grabbed my last Artist Trading Block (ATB) and got to creating.

I used watercolor paper and did some stamping and inking and stenciling. Once my papers were ready I covered my block.

Then I continued decorating it. I inked the cardstock doily with Distress Ink and used Distress Paints on the knob, feet, and Punchedelement. Stacking each on each other. I love the contrast of bright colors.

The feet are dowel ends you can get at any craft store.

Then for the final piece to make the ATB pop out, I colored the bird with some distress paint and added a Tim Holtz small chat on the front which I thought was befitting of the ATB.

I do so hope you enjoyed my little creation.

Flourish Cards for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Hello to you all.

I really wanted to play with some flourishes! I used two small ones and there are also large ones in the store as well.

So for my first card I used the heart doily from the Cardstock Doily Set Intricates and the Layered Flourish Chloe - Small.

For the second card I used another Cardstock Doily Set Intricates and the Layered Flourish Renata - Small.

The chipboard got a coat of gesso and then I the top part of the flourish I went over with chalk ink for a soft pastel look. I cut out the hello with my cut machine and finished the cards off with flowers.

Making quick fun cards with my chipboard pieces is really fun and a great touch to give to anyone.

Be True Canvas for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Hello and welcome to another day of inspiration.

I wanted to go ahead and play with a canvas panel. I started with painting the wood with chalkboard paint. Then I went ahead and used some Primary Elements from ColourArte to go over some of the chalkboard.

I covered the chipboard pieces with gesso. The leaves got colored with gelatos and some of the gold Primary Elements.

The gears and the corners got some gold paint as well. I made sure to heat set the gears several times with several coats to create the textures.

I love this sentiment and thought it to be great on the panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Keep coming back daily for more inspiration!

All Boy Layout

Howdy there space cowboys/girls....
Okay well HELLO!!!

I must admit even though I have a boy I had no clue whatsoever on what to do with the All Boy Shape Set.

I was determined to use them and a long time ago I remember I got this paper pad and I had an AAA HA moment. You know how excited you get when you have that LIGHTBULB moment.

So I found picture of my kiddo and got to work on this layout for Gina's Designs Lasercuts.

I painted all the chipboard pieces with Distress Paints! It gives this marble effect to the planet.

I painted the spaceship with a flat gray then a silver metallic paint for a shiny spaceship.

This title truly rocks and is just above beyond exactly what my son is.

I added a bit of gesso splatter and silver shimmer splatter across the layout for just a little more splash.
