Seashore

Today I am up on the WHiff of Joy Blog. I made this tag using stamps from the new Whiff of Joy Summer Release

I had a lot of fun making this tag. I paired the image with some Bo Bunny Papers.

I distressed all the edges with ink. Fussy cute the image out and punched out some circles to really make more dimension.

Make sure you stop by the Whiff of Joy blog for more inspiration and to see what the other designers created!.

Two Lovely Cards

Welcome to a wonderful weekend. Today I am here to share two new cards I made for Gina's Designs.

I painted my chipboard with gesso and added some pearls for a soft look.

For my second card I did the same technique. I love the shabby white vintage look. This look goes so great for bright or dull colors.

Handmade Tea Box

I found inspiration by way of Graphic 45 I really wanted to use the larger teapot in the Tea Shape St from Gina's Designs so I made a box. But then I thought hmmmm lets look up paper inspiration from G45.

I found this awesome creation by Denise Johnson and thought to try the same thing sort of with my box. I did a similar technique with the tea cups for the title on the project.

Of course I did change the style I used a sugar bowl in the center and I painted mine and then added a paper band on the pieces.

The box I made form chipboard and used some Graphic 45 papers and Petaloo flowers to finish the box off.

I covered the large tea pot with papers and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain. I painted the tea cups and sugar bowl with gesso, then added a strip of paper. I painted the handles and the spoons with some silver paint. I also added some Distress Ink to make it look aged and a little more vintage.

Hope you enjoyed my tea box and feel like making one of your own!

Flying High

I have another inspirational card to share that I made for Loves Rubberstamps today.

I have another special card with balloons. It is balloon season with congratulations! Tons of birthdays and tons of graduations! So this card fits all themes I think.

I tried hard to figure the pleats out and that just didn't work out. I still think the image looks good but not GREAT!

Voice of the Sea

Happy hump day everyone. I hope you all are having a great week so far. Today I am busy cleaning the house and getting ready for a crazy weekend. I get to go spend a little time in the new camper we got. Not sure how my kids will do in such tight quarters but I think it will be awesome.

So today I have a new card I made using stamps from the new Whiff of Joy Summer Release
These are no longer on pre-order, but the next pre-order as it is right around the corner.

Make sure you stop by the Whiff of Joy blog for more inspiration.

I thought this image was just too sweet. I colored it with copics and paired it with some Authentique papers. I had to use some Distress Ink as well to make it all seem rustic!

Dreams Fly Free

Good morning everyone. It is the weekend and I am excited today to share with you a canvas piece I created. Gina does such a great job with all her lasercut pieces and her steampunk pieces are my favorite. So when I got this butterfly in the mail I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

So this canvas was born using my favorite colors (Gold and Teal). I am not a gold person in real life though I love silver!

Here you can see the texture I created one the wings using Prima sprays and Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy.

I love layers and puddles of color.

I love glass pieces too and how the color runs around them. Just something fun too add to projects!

If you are interested you can check out the video I made while I altered the butterfly.

Clean and Simple

It is Tuesday and guess what, time for a new challenge at Loves Rubberstamps

Marcy got to pick the challenge this week and she decided we should do something that is

Clean and Simple

Well I tried to keep it clean and simple.

I made some flowers, kept the sentiment small, and dry embossed the white paper. It really looked way too plain for me not emboss the paper.

Gina's Designs 5 Drawer Storage Cabinet

Good morning everyone. Today I decided to share my 5 Drawer Storage Cabinet I created for Gina's Designs. I love that it is so big and can fit my paintbrushes, pens, scissors, spatulas, and other things I keep on my desk.

It was so easy and fun to put together and so fun to cover with some of my favorite Tim Holtz papers. I love the grungy look.

I used a Sizzix die to punch out all the little tags or labels and tied them to the handles with hemp string.

The handles I got from Hobby Lobby they are a little smaller than I would like but the awesome thing about this drawer. If I want to change the handles later I can flip the drawer around and use the other side. It is great for those oppsie moments too if you mess up a measurement turn it around and hope you learned from your first mistake!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

No Line Coloring

Hi everyone. Today I am up for another day of inspiration over at Loves Rubberstamps
I used this technique called no line coloring. I colored her up a while ago before taking a class on how to color like this. I haven't fully looked at this class to know exactly how to do it. I have tried the no line technique before and was successful to my liking. So this was another try at that time.
