A New Layout for Gina's Designs

Hello and welcome to a new weekend inspirational piece. I created this layout for Gina's Designs because I needed to "Cherish" the fun moments. My daughter is an amazingly cute and ridiculously silly girl.

So I am cherishing the moments and created this to share with everyone.

My chipboard got a coat of gesso and some gelatos blended with my finger and water.

After that dried I gave it a coat of crackle paint to give the hearts some amazing texture.

I embellished the rest and had fun with my mists and paints to give the background some finishing fun. I have a quick video coming soon! I can't wait to share how I altered the chipboard. So I do hope this brought you some inspiration. Now go forth and have fun creating!

Create Magic

I couldn't help it and had to do a little more mixed media again! This card was created for Loves Rubberstamps. This time I play more with teals and a little texture!

I had no idea what I was doing. This was just total play time I will admit. Then I have these canvas tags in my stash and I thought TEXTURE.

I did use some dimensional paint again and thought the shimmer of the brown paint complimented my distress edges!

Thanks so much for joining me today. Keep coming back for more inspiration!

ProjectPea February Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to a new blog hop! Sadly this is my last post as a Project Pea. It has been decided that the Project Pea team will no longer be, but never fear there will still be the regular release team that shares amazing creations with SugarPea Designs.

Each month we challenge our fabulous team of ProjectPea Designers to create FUN & CREATIVE projects that are sure to make you look at your stamp sets with brand new eyes!

I decided to create a post it note holder. I thought it would be nice to have something on my desk to write notes and not lose my post it stickies!

I even came up with a little tutorial for you!

So first I cut out my pieces I would need and scored them accordingly.

I folded and glued the pieces I needed to fold and glue. It is really easy to assemble.

Here you can see I mounted the folded pieces so the flap covers the note pads. Then I adhered the mats I cut out ahead of time to make the note pad holder fancy!

So make sure you stop by and check out what the rest of the team created.

Time For Flowers

There is a new challenge over at The Inky Chicks today and I am beyond excited to share it.

I love to color and coloring in spurts seems to be what I do. I just get in the stage where I want to color color cold and color more.

I decided to color up this lovely Ching Chou Kuik image. Isn't she lovely. I had a lot of fun coloring her hair and doing the facial features were fun too.

Welcome to a new sketch challenge over at SugarPea Designs.

First off let me apologize for my photo I have no idea why it didn't turn out amazing like the photo below!

I am excited to share a new SugarPea Sketch Challenge card with you. I used the sweet new image from the stamp set Fairy Sweet!

I had so much fun with this image. I love this image and I don't know why... maybe because she is just so cute!!

I added some sparkle to her. I couldn't help but make her shine. I paired her with some lovely papers from my Valentine's stash of papers as well.

Make sure you stop by the SugarPea blog to check out the rest of the teams cards!

Cards for Gina's Designs

Hello to all you fabulous crafters out there. Today I decided to share some cards. I really want to start creating more cards using Gina's Designs Lasercuts. There are so many possibilities with her chipboard pieces and cards are some of my favorite things to create!

I really wanted to create something vintage for Valentine's Day and Spring. Only a couple more weeks then it will be DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!! oh yeah and SPRINGTIME!!!

So for my first card... I went with this lovely heart called (...) and gave it a coat of paint.

The second card I pulled out my embossing powder! I used this amazing Filiagree Frame and covered it with gesso first and then a few coats of embossing powder.

While the embossing powder was still hot I stamped the sentiment into it (ONLY DO THIS WITH RED RUBBER STAMPS).

I embellished the rest of the card with lace and flowers to make them even more elegant and vintage. I do hope you get a chance to get some chippies and share you creations with us!

Dare To Spread Your Wings

A little mixed media inspiration for you all today! I am beyond happy to share a new piece I created for Loves Rubberstamps to share. I got so excited to play with some new Prima goodies that will be coming to the store soon. I cannot get enough playing with tags lately.

I first adhered down my paper, then gesso'd and inked them up.

I did use some dimensional paint with a stencil and tons of background stamping using the new Prima stamps.

I tried to give some dimension with the butterfly and the vellum tag but not sure it turned out exactly how I wanted it to.

Let It Sparkle

Hello everyone. I am really thrilled to share with you my new card I created for the new Loves Rubberstamps challenge

Not sure you can guess the theme but it is Let It Sparkle

Now I use to love glitter but it can make a mess. I love stickles but there are so many colors to play around with. I decided to go with stickles on this one.

I colored my image with copics and gave the balloon and her cuffs and ruffles some SPARKLY love. I didn't add any sentiments because I want this card to work for any theme.

Altered Clock

I am back with a new creation to share that I made for Gina's Designs Lasercuts.

What a fun piece this is too. There is a new clock coming to the store. So make sure you keep checking back RIGHT HERE for new items being added!

I covered the base pieces with some paper. The base the fence sits on was painted with a gold acrylic. Then the clock face of the clock I gave that some gold rub n buff for a darker look.

All edges also got some Distress Ink too to keep it grungy.

I left open space to add a picture behind the hand or add more embellishments to for a later time.

This is a wonderful piece that can be made into ANY theme possible. So remember get your chippies and have fun!

A Halloween Blog Hop

Hello everyone. I am so excited so be a part of this fun hop for Viva Las VegaStamps!!!! Are you ready for some spooky haunting fun???

THEME : Friday the 13th - UNLUCKY - CREEPY - SPOOKY - HORROR etc.
DATE : February Friday the 13th 2015
TIME : 12:00 am PST
PRIZES : I will give out one lb' o rubber to a random comment along the way of the blog hop.

So first I started out by picking my rubber. Then I decided on some SPOOKY colors.
I then figured out I wanted to do a tag. I laid down some yellow, then inked the edges in Dusty Concord.  Then time to add some stamping!!!

I added some Seeded Preserves and inked the stamp Bubble Wrap Texture - 19566 as well as the edges with paint. While that was drying I stamped Whimsical Boy in Hat - 19539, In the Pale Moonlight - 19531,  and Happy Moon - 19507.

I fussy cut my pieces out and then bam I had to go crazy and have some stitching fun!
What monster doesn't have a lose thread right or a staple holding something in?

So here is the finished tag and I love how it turned out!

In case you get lost along the way....
