Spring ATC Shrine

Hi everyone I hope you all are doing FABULOUS!!!! I am here with some Spring to share!!!

I really wanted to have something bright and uplifting on my desk! I thought Gina's ATC Shrine would be perfect. So for my design team creationI went for it! Check all out the new goodies in the store right now here Gina's Lasercut Designs!
Something to remind me Spring is here (even though it may not feel like it).

So I created a Spring-like ATC Shrine. I love these little containers and it has been a while since I have played with one.

I added a label to the front titling this shrine Happiness.  Each piece got a cover with gesso than with some Distress Paints. The purple I toned down with gesso.

I painted the shrine first with gesso than with Broken China Distress Paint. I then dry brushed gesso all over the container again.

I decorated the inside with Graphic 45 papers, moss, and a cute little butterfly, which was painted with Distress Paint and given a coat of Crackle Accents.

Blooming Art Journal Inspiration

Welcome to a new inspirational Thursday form yours truly!!!

I have been wanting to play more with my Bloom Girls and stencils and just really get back into playing with my art journal and mixed media goodies!

So here for you is a fun art journal page YAY! I even got to use my new Tim Holtz stickers.

I have a video that I have of making this page, but have yet to load and edit it. Bare with me I will get it up shortly!

I used modeling paste with a black gelato to create the black paste I used with the stencil. I then colored the image with my watercolor pencils and gelatos. I used gelato around the image only after using some matte gel medium with a stencil to add to the background.

Here you can see the stencil giving texture combined with the gelato and some Twinkling H20 paint.

Lastly I wanted to add a flower here!! It started out white/cream. I went over it with a gelato, buffing it with my finger and then gave it a spritz of Gold Foil Prima Bloom Spray.

So I do hope you enjoyed this lovely art journal page. I will have a video up on my YouTube this week.

Nature's Garden

Hello to you all. I am feeling a little dark lately.
Well not really dark. I used some darker colors on my cards to share with you all.

I love Prima and I have had some of the Nature Garden collections in my stash. I thought this was perfect and it turned out great with the chipboard I wanted to use.

Of course all my chipboard pieces got a coat of gesso. Then I proceeded to go to town :)

For my first card I used some Prima Chalk Ink but I didn't fully cover everything, just a little pat here and there.

The second card got a coat of chalk board paint. The Bird on a Swing Shape Set got a great crackle glaze but the cracked for some reason didn't make it all the way to the center of the bird.

I love crackle accents! It is so much fun to just add a bit more texture to projects!

I finished the cards with some chit chat words.

Cotton Candy

Hey everyone I am SUPER excited I got some new goodies to play with and the first thing I thought of was using this fabulous stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps!

The stamp I used is called Cotton Candy - 19192. I got inspiration for the background based on fluffy cotton candy. I played with my new Prima Watercolor Pencils creating this "FLUFFY" background.

I have been wanting to use vellum on my cards for a while and I was given the tip to fold the edges over like a wrap. So I stamped the sentiment Until Further Notice - 19172 on the vellum and the scored flaps were glued behind the panel.

I used some foam dots to give a little dimension to the cotton candy and some glitter to really make the cotton candy shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by remember to keep coming back for more inspiration!

Movie Star

Hello and happy new Tuesday to you all! I just wanted to share my newest card with you I created for the new challenge over at The Inky Chicks.

The theme this week is Movie Star.
Any movie star will do!

I colored up this cutie up thinking she was a perfect fit for Pocahontas! She even has the cute little raccoon friend to boot!

I colored her up with my favorite coloring medium - copics, and I paired her with some older My Mind's Eye papers from my stash.

I also added some lovely lace and some Wild Orchid Flowers to top it off. You can add any sentiment to this card and give it to a friend to pick them up!

Lucky 2 Have You Layout for Gina's Designs

Hello all you lovely crafters. Today I have a fun layout to share and I love this layout.

It is finally starting to look like Spring outside and it is warming up a little. Than I got to thinking about some photos I had hanging up and thought to create something using one of these photos.

I loved combining my Prima favorites with my Gina's Chipboard and I think it turned out awesome!

So here you can see a close up of the Leafy Cluster Base. I painted it with gesso and then once that dried I went over that with my Prima Watercolor Pencils. I used a couple shades of green.
Then I added some glass beads with 3d gloss gel.

The background was fun to create using modeling paste, a stencil, a blooming spray, and watercolor pencils.

Doll Tag

Hey everyone. Shanna here with a  little Thursday inspiration!

I created a tag using a Julie Nutting Prima Doll tag.

Her name is Shay! I stamped her on some white cardstock and colored her with some watercolor pencils. Talk about fun!

Then I stamped her again on some Prima Paper - Epiphany Collection. I paper pieced the outfit together and layered her down.

For the tag I started with some Distress Paint (Cracked Pistachio), dried it, and then used the Distress Ink Abandoned Coral with a blending tool around the edges. Splattered some water and then let it dry.

I added my built up image and embellished the tag.

Don't forget to stop by the store and see all the new stuff coming in.
