Fancy Dragonflies

Can I say how much I love nature when it is flying on me, around me, or in my face??? It is bad that I am a screaming mess when one hits me in the face or flies by my ear real loud!

I love working in the garden (but detest bugs), I love that we got a larger patio to accommodate a table so we could enjoy family dinners. Now to only get or gazebo this Summer to keep me safe from the darn bugs lol!

But I still think nature is beautiful and with Spring right around the corner I couldn't resist starting some pieces that are bright and happy and remind me of what is coming.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with kits and product to create these projects. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

So I created these to tags with he dragonflies as my main focus. I love these fancy dragonflies.

Here you can see the detail int he wings. I love the swirls so much and was so happy when the paint didn't get stuck in them. I love the laser cut because the detail is just amazing!

The second tag I used a different dragonfly. I just love the fact that is reminds me a little of swiss cheese :). Silly I know but I love this one just as much.

With Spring coming up make sure you check out the fabulous chipboard pieces for your crafty creations!

Live Each Day Canvas

Hello and Happy Saturday to you all. I wanted to share with you my newest piece I created for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. I know it is still Winter here in the US and cold but I was thinking of bright sunny days when I created this piece.

I started with a used canvas. Used your wondering... It was on I started but never liked so I ripped the stuff off so I could reuse the canvas at a later date. So here it is. Some of the paper stuck so good on there and wouldn't come off.

I just sort of smudge paint on the canvas with my fingers. Then I thought lets make a rusty can to go on it. I dove through my chipboard pieces to figure out what I should add and I found this awesome Milk Can. I used some different paints to achieve this "rustic" look.

I embellished it with a Tim Holtz Small Chat sticker and some Prima leaves and flower.

I just love how fast and fun this canvas was too make. All it took was on piece of chipboard. So head to the store and grab some so you can start creating!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

For my first project, I just love these papers. Check out the video I made while making this layout.

Second creation, I had a blast making. I love the embellishment pieces that came in the kits. Check out the video I made for creating this piece.

I couldn't help myself as I loved the tag layout I created and created more tags.

Embossing with a Stencil

So I am so excited to be able to share with you a new tutorial I created for The Crafter's Workshop.

I had fun playing with gel medium, paint, and HOUSEHOLD FOIL. You don't need anything fancy but a nail file or a sanding block. Well and your imagination and a stencil too. Enjoy!!!

Head on over to the blog for lots of up close and how-to's.

Mini Wanderer House

Hello lovelies. I wanted to share a creation I recently made for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. I wanted to play with these awesome new Mini House Shadowboxes in the store. Have you seen them yet?

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

I started with coating the how box in gesso. Then painted the pieces with my Silks Acrylic Glaze.

Once dry I then used some gel medium to paint the back of the house and added some silver glitter. Then I embellished the rest.

Make sure you keep coming back to see more amazing creations from the rest of the team.

XO XO

Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is around the corner. So I decided to create something special for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

I got this amazing wall kit last year but never got the chance to create with it. Now it is that time of year and I decided to create a little holiday decor.

I painted the love birds with black chalk paint. The X's and O's and heart boarder got a coat of gesso so it would pop off the reddish background.

There are tons of goodies in the Valentine's Day section of the store so grab some chippies and create with us!

I added some hearts from a sticker pack from Heidi Swapp.

The doily is one from my stash and everything got a bit of distress ink around the edges.

So head on over and play with us this challenge!

Stencils with Paper Clay
