Nature's Garden

Hello to you all. I am feeling a little dark lately.
Well not really dark. I used some darker colors on my cards to share with you all.

I love Prima and I have had some of the Nature Garden collections in my stash. I thought this was perfect and it turned out great with the chipboard I wanted to use.

Of course all my chipboard pieces got a coat of gesso. Then I proceeded to go to town :)

For my first card I used some Prima Chalk Ink but I didn't fully cover everything, just a little pat here and there.

The second card got a coat of chalk board paint. The Bird on a Swing Shape Set got a great crackle glaze but the cracked for some reason didn't make it all the way to the center of the bird.

I love crackle accents! It is so much fun to just add a bit more texture to projects!

I finished the cards with some chit chat words.

Cotton Candy

Hey everyone I am SUPER excited I got some new goodies to play with and the first thing I thought of was using this fabulous stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps!

The stamp I used is called Cotton Candy - 19192. I got inspiration for the background based on fluffy cotton candy. I played with my new Prima Watercolor Pencils creating this "FLUFFY" background.

I have been wanting to use vellum on my cards for a while and I was given the tip to fold the edges over like a wrap. So I stamped the sentiment Until Further Notice - 19172 on the vellum and the scored flaps were glued behind the panel.

I used some foam dots to give a little dimension to the cotton candy and some glitter to really make the cotton candy shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by remember to keep coming back for more inspiration!

Hello and happy new Tuesday to you all! I just wanted to share my newest card with you I created for the new challenge over at The Inky Chicks.

The theme this week is Movie Star.
Any movie star will do!

I colored up this cutie up thinking she was a perfect fit for Pocahontas! She even has the cute little raccoon friend to boot!

I colored her up with my favorite coloring medium - copics, and I paired her with some older My Mind's Eye papers from my stash.

I also added some lovely lace and some Wild Orchid Flowers to top it off. You can add any sentiment to this card and give it to a friend to pick them up!

Lucky 2 Have You Layout for Gina's Designs

Hello all you lovely crafters. Today I have a fun layout to share and I love this layout.

It is finally starting to look like Spring outside and it is warming up a little. Than I got to thinking about some photos I had hanging up and thought to create something using one of these photos.

I loved combining my Prima favorites with my Gina's Chipboard and I think it turned out awesome!

So here you can see a close up of the Leafy Cluster Base. I painted it with gesso and then once that dried I went over that with my Prima Watercolor Pencils. I used a couple shades of green.
Then I added some glass beads with 3d gloss gel.

The background was fun to create using modeling paste, a stencil, a blooming spray, and watercolor pencils.

O wanted to play along with the Prima Challenge so check it out!

Doll Tag

Hey everyone. Shanna here with a  little Thursday inspiration!

I created a tag using a Julie Nutting Prima Doll tag.

Her name is Shay! I stamped her on some white cardstock and colored her with some watercolor pencils. Talk about fun!

Then I stamped her again on some Prima Paper - Epiphany Collection. I paper pieced the outfit together and layered her down.

For the tag I started with some Distress Paint (Cracked Pistachio), dried it, and then used the Distress Ink Abandoned Coral with a blending tool around the edges. Splattered some water and then let it dry.

I added my built up image and embellished the tag.

Don't forget to stop by the store and see all the new stuff coming in.

Altered Journal Cover for Gina's Designs

Hello to all you amazing crafters. How is your weekend going so far?

Mine will be full of some crafty fun. I have been wanting to create some art journal covers and thought this would be a fun place to start. I see so many amazing inspirational pieces online and I decided to give this one a go.

My cover got some gesso, a little stenciling with modeling paste, and layer papers.

I covered all my chipboard pieces with gesso and then went to town on the cover with sprays.

I also buffed a little Inka Gold on top of the chipboard pieces to finish off the cover for a bit of shine..

Tea Time Theatre

Welcome to some HUMP day inspiration. I hope you all are excited it is the middle of the week and I have a brand new creation to share with you all that I made for Alpha Stamps.

I had so much fun creating this Tea Party Scene using the new March Kit

I used the Tiny Paper Mache Boxes to create a stand, painting them with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint.

You can also see I used some of the Acrylic Flower & Leaf Mix (In the Kit) to create ultra mini pastries to mix up with Mini Strawberry Cake and Mini Heart Tart Cake (some of us don't get to eat a lot of sweets)!

Using Ice Resin, I made bows using the Mini Bows Silicone Mold to top off the ladies I cut from the Marie Takes Tea Collage SheetAfter the resin set I painted them with Distress Paint as well.

I put the lids of the boxes back behind the dresses using other pieces cut out from the Marie Takes Tea Collage Sheet to show a table top style setting - one for tea and one for cakes.

I love how cute and simple this set up is. My daughter loved the tea party and was so excited about all the tiny little pieces to set this scene up.

Anything Goes

HAPPY TUESDAY!!!! There is a new challenge up today over at Loves Rubberstamps. It is a wonderful Anything Goes so make sure you play with us this week!

I couldn't help but play with this adorable cutie pie.

She was colored with copics and I played around with some Distress Inks for a background watercolor effect. Not to sure how I enjoy this for myself as I love seeing it done on other creations from fabulously amazing crafters.

I paired her up with some older My Mind's Eye Papers I have in my stash. They are so soft and delicate and I thought everything tied in, especially when I added the flowers.

VLVS Challenge Inspiration and Video

Hello everyone. Are you ready for a little inspiration for Viva Las VegaStamps??

If you would like to watch the video on how I created this art journal piece please check it out HERE!

So I created this art journal page to share with you based on this month's amazing new challenge!

So I couldn't help but use this adorable stamp Sitting Bird - 18889 after I got the background of the pages laid down.

The background was fun and created by using Distress Inks and water. I also laid down some tissue paper using soft gel medium. Then proceeded to using the stamps Tape - 19572Double Coffee Rings - 19568, and Writing Triangles - 19571 to create the rest of the background.

I hand wrote my wording this time (I hate my handwriting) but thought it fit the theme!

I highlighted the Tape - 19572 stamps by coloring them darker with a PITT Pen and adding a white gel pen to it.

Now don't forget to join our challenge this month!
