Crafting with Pearls

Good afternoon. I am here to share a second post for the day. There is also a new challenge over at
The Inky Chicks. We want to see your pearls this time. I do hope you find time to play with us.

I got to use this adorable Magnolia image which I colored with my copics.

I found some papers that went perfectly with her and added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers that went along with everything.

I added several pearls too that just made my card seem complete.

Don't forget to stop by the challenge and check out what the rest of the team created.

Black and White With Some Color

Hello everyone. Sorry for the delay. We had a bad storm last night and I HAD to turn off electronics and unplug to make sure nothing got ruined from lightening strikes. Then I went to bed instead of waiting out the storm. I know bad girl I am!

Well I am super excited to share this simple card with you today. YES SIMPLE. I didn't even add flowers!!! GASP!!!! I plan to add a sentiment at a later time, but for now I just love this girl.

So if you have time head on over to Loves Rubberstamps as there is a new challenge today.

The theme.... Black and White with a hint of color!!!

So my card... I had to find some black and white papers. I went through and remembered this fabulous paper collection from Authentique. I colored the image with my copic markers and tried to keep within the black and white theme. It was a little harder this time.

I added some gold stickles to the crown, the jewel, and the belt.

Here you can see a close up of the sparkle.

Don't forget you have a week to play with us!

Pawprints On My Heart

Hey everyone. I made a new layout I created for Gina's Designs Lasercuts.
I realized I haven't scrapped my fur baby yet and thought to print out a photo and go for it.

I pulled out the title Pawprints On My Heart and gave it a coat of gesso. I wanted it to pop off the page so I left it white.

I did one stencil and sprayed with with some mist. I also misted with a few other colors and gave the page some splatter.

I added this cute little Heart Word and left that white with gesso just to give the page more pop.

I love the gold behind the white. I hope you got some furry inspiration. Don't forget we also want to see you creations so don't forget to share them with us on the Facebook Group Page!

I created the layout based on the Prima build a page layout. I had fun playing with this one.

Prima Cards

Hello everyone I am excited to share with you some cards I created for Loves Rubberstamps. I so was excited when I saw some similar cards made in the same style for Prima. I believe this was a Live With Prima class and it was just a blast watching cards like these being made!

I first stamped my images on watercolor paper. Then used my Bloom Sprays.
After adding that color I went in with flowers and leave for embellishing.

Caution

Welcome to a little mixed media creation for the day. I (Shanna) am so in love with the new stamps from Viva Las VegaStamps. There are 4 new stamp sets so make sure you go and see them. They are all different and just fabulous.

So I had no idea what I wanted to do but I have seen some people create these amazing altered postcards. So I have a couple postcards and wanted to give it a go. I played with several stamps to create texture and just love the outcome.

Want to see how I created the background for the postcard?  Then check out my video below.

Ladies ATC's

Well I have some fun ATC's to share with you now that I created for Gina's Designs. I got to use lots of fun crafty items and really had a blast creating these babies.

So to start off I decided I needed bows. I used this silicon mold and let it sit overnight.

I printed out some frames from the Antique Frame Set and got my scissors out to cut these babies out.. I sized them to fit the ATC but also make sure you can still see them using the base of the Fashion Cameo Chipboard Set. I didn't want to hide the pretty frames.

I cut up some scrap chipboard to the size of an ATC (3.5"x2.5"). I gave it a quick coat of white paint.

While that was drying I then covered the base of the Fashion Cameo's with a layer of Croco Crackling Color. I used a palette knife to scrape it on (only because mine was starting to dry out).

Let that dry and this is what tat looks like! Isn't is cool looking.

While the Croco was drying I decided on a color for the base of my ATC and I went with this Halo Blue Gold paint. This paint is so creative because it shimmers green, blue, and gold!

I recycled a shipping box to use for dimension instead of pop dots (saving $$).

I then painted the next layer of the Fashion Cameos gold. I thought this was a great contrast and went with the gold shimmer in the Halo Blue Gold paint.

While these dried I needed to pick a color for my bows. I decided to paint them to match the base for my ATC's. What do you think?? Don't they look amazing with this color!

I forgot to snap a photo of painting the ladies black though. I then assembled each ATC adding some words I cut from sheet of words.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Keep coming back for more!

New Inspiration

I have a new Thursday inspirational post. I am happy to share a quick and simple tag with you I created for Loves Rubberstamps!

First off let me apologize for the light. I photographed at night and didn't get a chance to do it during the day. Normally it would be a lot brighter!

First I smooshed the tag with a new color of Distress Paint (Mermaid Lagoon). Then I went over in some areas with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

I used some white embossing powder with the "Happy" stamp and then used some black ink to stamp  the rest. I added a ribbon and a flower with a  brad to finish the tag off.

Make sure to keep checking back for more inspiration!

National Scrapbook Day Layout

National Scrapbooking Day is here!!!!
Are you scrapping your memories today????
I hope you are getting some memory making time in.

I even created a little inspiration for Gina's Designs Lasercuts to help you get inspired just in case you are not sure where you want to start.

I decided to scrap a photo of my daughter. I had so much fun playing with my chipboard pieces on this layout.

My chipboard got a coat of gesso and then the Mixed Media Fragment got sprayed with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray.

This awesome Word Banner got a light coat of gesso, mist, then rubbed over with a rub n buff. But be careful because you can rub the words down (or worse off) if too wet.

I added lots of flowers, microbeads, and glass beads to up the texture on my layout and give pops of color here and there.

I do thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to come back for more inspiration!

Chocolate and Sweets

There is a new challenge today over at The Inky Chicks blog. The challenge totally gave me reason to use this super cute new image from Tiddly Inks.

I colored her up with copics and paired her with some papers from my stash. I think they are from Fancy Pants but I can't remember the name of the pad. It was a little older from a couple years ago.

Don't forget you have some time to play so grab your stamps and come get inky!

Theme is
CHOCOLATE AND SWEETS

I have a Snapguide on making these fabulous wings (they are acetate). Would love for you to check it out.

I love how they really turned out too.

I have a video on how I created this little bit of goodness. Check it out and let me know what you think!!! Don't forget to stop by and check out my post over at Viva Las VegaStamps for more photos.

Mermaid Cards

So I know Summer is right around the corner but it seems to be trying to take over Spring!!! So I thought why not create a little "Summer Fun" as I have been creating lots of "Springy" projects lately. I created these lovely cards for Gina's Designs.

When I was unsure of what to create I thought why not some cards. I was excited to create these  using some Prima papers and using some awesome ocean style cards that got to have fun with.

All the chipboard got a coat of gesso to prime the surface as I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them yet. I chose to use a gelato on the sea shells for color and then gave a little coat of Art Anthology's Stone Effects called Sandstone to add more for texture for the sea shells.

The mermaids got edged around with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I loved their pop from the papers so much I didn't want to add anything else to them.

I hope you found some Summer inspiration. Keep coming back for more inspiraton!
