Precious Layout for Marion Smith Designs

Hello crafter's out there. I created a layout for Marion Smith Designs.

I played around with a new stencil and some matte gel medium. Then I added some color and splatter.

I added some papers and cut outs from the Nirvana collection with a doily in the mix and my photo.

I added some flowers and leaves along with the chipboard title "Precious".

I had tons of fun creating this layout and just had a blast throwing it together. I also love this paper line so I can't wait to share more with you all again.

Have fun creating!

Some of my Favorite Things!!!

Hello all you lovely crafters out there. I wanted to share a little with you all. Lately I have just been creating things left and right. Some things I don't even get to share because they are personal and other things I create are for design teams.

Now while I love creating everything here are a few of my favorite things I created this year!

I love the bright colors for these cards.

The papers I used to alter this creation for Gina's Designs Lasercuts was just amazingly rewarding!

And lastly this layout was just a wonderful way to brighten my day!

And I had to through in a 4th as I recycled a frame and had a blast creating this!

I have decided to use this post to apply to be on the Flying Unicorn's Creative Team. So if our interested try out yourself.

Possibilities for Marion Smith Designs

Hello all you paper crafters out there. I am sharing a new creation I made for Marion Smith Designs using the Romance Novel Chapter 2 collection!

These papers are just so stunning and gorgeous it was hard to want to cut them up!

I had this smaller tag and I treated it with a little crumbling, water, and Distress Ink. I dried it and then added the sentiment. I couldn't help but add the pretty pink bow to bring out the pink flowers in the background.

I love that I can use my 12x12 papers to create amazing cards as well.
Have fun creating.

Vitruvian Man

Hello all you stampers out there!!! I created an art journal page for your inspiration!

I really wanted to play with simple colors and a simple stamp! If I could use this stamp everywhere!! I love it!

First I started with a #8 tag and trimmed it down.

Then I cut a panel of watercolor paper. I used some Distress Paint with the Numbers Set - 19659 stamp and covered the whole panel with it. Then I let it dry!

I forgot to photograph the the adding of blue distress ink. But I wet my fingers and threw the water not he paper.

Once it dries it gives it a nice look with water spots.

I stamped the image Vitruvian Man - 19763 on the the trimmed tag.

Then I colored the edges of the tag with some Distress Ink watered down.

I buffed the tag over with black ink again, throwing more water on the tag.

Then I stamped on the blue sheet with the Dictionary Page - 19015 and then threw down some black acrylic paint .

So here is the art journal page thrown together. What do you think??? Just a bit of inspirational fun right? Whenever you have a block just stamp and ink!!

Watercolor Pencils with Stencils

Hey everyone. Shanna here. It seems like so long ago when I got to share some inspiration with you all.
I am excited to share something new to me with you all though. It might just be new for you!
ShannaTCWWatercoloringStencils5
So first you try and make some mistakes right and then you learn lol. I started with the blue card however it didn't quite turn out right. The end look still looks nice, but a little more sloppy.
ShannaTCWWatercoloringStencils
First thing to do is make sure your stencil and paper is secure. I cut a panel of watercolor paper that would fit my card base though.

I grabbed my watercolor pencils and started coloring. I outlined parts of the the stencil then got my water ready. I prefer to use a watercolor brush but you can use some water and a regular brush as well.

I blended out the color and then went back and added more layers.

Here is what the end creation looks like. What do you think???

So I cut out some words and added some ribbon and twine to make some simple fun cards.

Altered Tea Box for Gina's Designs Lasercuts

Well now that Halloween is over we are all starting to move towards Thanksgiving and Christmas creations. I just wasn't too sure what to create. I have so many things in this bin that need to be altered and I haven't played with the Coffee & Tea Set from Gina's Designs Lasercuts so I set off to create.

I have this wood box that I painted long ago. I thought it would be perfect for holding my various teas! What do you think?

I loved adding everything to this box and making a fancier holder for my teas!

I covered all my pieces of with gesso and them used Distress Paints on the Fern Fronds and Chalk Inks on the tea pot.

I added glossy accents to the wire part of the kettle.

I added some glass glitter to the Stackable Label.

You can see here the box is deep and a great size for strong teas in. Of course metal cans are nice too so I may have to do one for coffee next!

So for this wonderful collaboration between Creative Paper Clay and Gina's Designs Lasercuts I decided to play with some tags. The team has really come up with some amazing projects and I love them all.

Being that this was the first time I played with clay... talk about a new experience! It was fun and light and so easy to play with. I went ahead and and decided to do some stamping into my clay though. I even gave a try at a pumpkin.

So for the first tag I covered the background with Distress Paints and a little spiderweb stenciling.

Then I got to painting my chipboard! The witches legs got some stockings and I gave her shoes a coat of glossy accents!

Here you can see what I stamped on the clay I rolled out and I after it dried I painted it. The stamp had archival ink on it which really brought out the words!

For my second tag, I went with orange and a greetings tag and charm for this tag.

So you can see the pumpkin charm I tried making. I painted it orange and of course green leaves on top. I also rolled out more clay and used a circle I punched out as a reference for cutting the circle. I followed the same stamping technique as on the other piece of clay I stamped on.

My witch and moon got a great bit of layering done to them. The moon got 3 colors of Distress Paints and lots of blending. The witch got black paint then some crackle paint (which while drying one of my kids knocked over) therefore I covered up again with a little more black paint and crackle accents.

Here you can really see some crackle better here in this photo

These are the items I used on my tags:

No hop along and check out what everyone else is making!!!
