Rustic Inspirational Tags

Good morning too you all.  I am beyond excited to share this project with you that I made for Gypsy Soul laser Cuts
I was playing around with some very special paints and a very chemically active spray. I loved the look and threw together some tags.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

As I didn't get to take photos of my process believe me I will have one coming up in the near future on how I got my barb wire to look so rusty and my stars to have this amazing patina look.

Now both tags got the same background treatment of a stencil I used with heavy gesso and some spray. While that dried I painted the birdcages.

Here you can see and up close look at the star and birdcage.

Look at how rusty the barded wire looks!!

The second tag I used a different bird cage but replicated the other tag.

The birdcages also got tiny pieces of cardboard stuck underneath so they had dimension. Then I finished the tags off some with some trim and a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.

Have I Gone Mad?

Hello chipboard lovers. I have an art journal spread to share that I created for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. I decided to take a break from Halloween creations.

I created an art journal piece with some Alice in Wonderland pieces. I really didn't know what I wanted to do but I seriously wanted to use these pieces.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

For the first side of the spread I used gesso, stamping, and sprays.

For the chipboard piece I painted it black then used a Prima rub-on and foil rub on to add the design to my Mad Hatter.

The second page I used different colors of sprays. I also used a different rub-on and foil for the Alice piece.

Last I added some black paint around the sentiment and some shadowing around the chipboard to give some extra pop.

I hope you have fun with your chipboard pieces and remember to have fun.

Tombstones

Hello to you all. I am here with more Halloween fun that I created for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. I really loved creating texture on these pieces.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

I altered these from the Tombstone Stand Ups Shape Set.

I started with painting the tombstones black. Then I got this idea for texture because tombstones have texture. So I created this paste and had to spackle it on the tombstones. Then I had to let it dry.
Once it was dry, I dry brushed with chalk paint so you could see the texture.

Then I went on to personalize the headstones.

The first one up got a spider wed and spider. The web is just white gesso. The spider got black paint and then some glossy accents so I could add some super fine glitter and rhinestones.

Then I glued some die-cut alpha letters to the headstones.

Here on this last headstone you can see the texture created from this paste I made. I really had fun with this one.

Don't forget to get your Halloween chipboard orders in.

Halloween ATC's

Hello to all you out there. I made some ATC's I created for Gyspy Soul Laser Cuts as a little Halloween inspiration.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

I have this pile of gelli prints and got my inspiration from one of them.
I cut the paper up into ATC size pieces, added some splatters, stamping, and rub-ons.

The chipboard pieces got a coat of gesso and the pumpkin got colored like a pumpkin.

These are really fun and great to tape a piece of candy to. You can hand them out to friends, co-workers, or maybe use them as party invites. Have some spooky fun!

Halloween Cards

Hello to you all. I am thrilled to share some new Halloween cards I created for Gypsy Soul Lasercuts. I had a blast playing with some fun Halloween paper collections as well.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

For my first card, I had fun building the layers up.

I started with layering paper over the small tag. Once the glue was dry then I cut around the tag.
TIP: Use a nail file to file down and smooth the edges.

I painted the spiderweb chipboard with black paint and then the "boo" with black paint as well. Then I got this idea to add some crackle glaze so it had that cracked look - sort of like a spider web.

I also then used some glossy accents to add glitter to the pumpkin and let this dry before layering all my pieces together. I added a little bit of pop up dots being the tag to give it dimension.

For my second card, I carried the crackle accents over to my chipboard rodents.

They got a coat of black paint and crackle accents.

While they dried I painted part of the Stackable Label and then used paper to cover the other part. I added the Ghostly Greetings from the rodents.

I added more pop dots under the rodents to give them more dimension.  I think the dimension really takes the card to another level. Then I finished it off with some flowers.

Grab your Halloween chipboard pieces and have fun creating some Halloween creations.

Vintage Sparkle

Hello to all you lovelies out there. I made some new cards for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts that I wanted to share with you all.  I wanted to to play around with something that had a vintage feel.

So for my cards I picked the Vintage Ladies to play with.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

They each got a coat of really dark paint. Once they were dry they got a coat of crackle glaze. Do not try to dry this one fast.

Once dry I did a light colored paint coat on top so that you could see the darker color through the crackle. Do not try to dry the top coat fast either until after the crackles have started to appear.

The frames each got a coat of embossing powder.
Once my ladies were dry I used some chalk in around the edges. I feel like it gave it a vintage feel.

Same thing for my second card. I used a different color embossing powder on a different frame.

I added an embossed sentiment and stamped sentiment to finish off the cards.

I really enjoyed making these cards. They were fun and simple so I hope you enjoy making some cards of your own.

Steampunk Seahorse

SO SORRY I FORGOT TO HIT PUBLISH !!

Hey everyone. I created a new piece for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. here with a steampunk piece to share. I had a blast creating with this door plate.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Now the door plate comes with two pieces you are suppose to layer. I didn't layer them so I could use the rest of the plate for another altered piece.

I glued everything down first and then gave it all a coat of black gesso. Everything then got coats of different metallic paints.

I loved painting this piece and had a blast layering it all together.

With all the fun steampunk pieces in the store there is so many choices and ways to dress this seahorse up.

Have fun and enjoy creating!

The box itself got a coat of black paint and then covered with some Prima papers. I edges all the papers with Prima Rusty Keys Chalk Ink which I then went over the black paint with.

I finished embellishing the treasure chest with more flowers from the same paper collection.
