Oriental Card and a Silhouette

Happy Monday everyone. I really hope everyone is having a wonderful extended weekend. I know I know I should be making a card for Memorial day, but I made this one for last week and well my move too a little longer than expected so I didn't get a chance to share it!

I am so excited about this recent card I made. I must say I love Asian themed cards and projects. I really like cultured themes. I also bought the new Serenity Bo Bunny paper pad and thought these stamps went perfect for my card.

I used the stamps

I also used a new piece of ribbon I got from a ribbon club I participate in. I also used and my largest oval spellbinder oval die to cut the image out and then distressed the edge with black soot DI. The image was colored with copics  of course and I used some Japanese Lacquer embossing powder on the script behind the ribbon.

I really hope you like this I find nice and peaceful.

Creative Inspirations Paints

I did get some new stamps in the mail and I really wanted to try stamping on acetate. Well it did not work out to well as I do know have the right kind of ink and it just kept smearing!!! I really need to go pick up some Staz-On!

Well from my card today I have a new stamp I got from The Great Impressions Stamps and it was so much fun to use and it would have been better if it stayed on and in place. This card took a little improvising on my part as I did not bring everything with me when I moved and I have yet to get anything out of boxes or bags :(...... But I managed this. I am hoping today to find some cheap storage solutions for the tiny closet space I have for all my craft items.

So first I tried stamping the image on the acetate, because that is how it was suppose to be done. Since that didn't work I stamped it on some white cardstock. After cutting the image out I laid down some glossy accents and mixed in the paint then laid the acetate down on the image and smoothed it out.
(YES IT MAKES A MESS :( I was not ready for that!)
Once dried I cut out a border to overlay on top of the image and bam added it to a panel. I am sorry it is such a plain card but as I unpack all my goodies I will have a lot more to add to it later I just have to find everything. I really like the glazed look in the background and I really want more silhouette style stamps to try this with for different times of dusk and dawn!!

Good morning to everyone. As you are reading this I am driving across the great US making my way towards Vegas!!! I am getting out of the south for a while and going to spend a lot of time with my family for the rest of my pregnancy until the new year gets here.

so for now I have a little quick post for

the theme is

Shaped cards (no squares or rectangles)

I made a tiny tiny little card. I used a scalloped circle spellbinder die and some regular cardstock.

The image is from The Great Impressions Stamps called Trio of Potted Flowers. I colored the image with Distress Inks and then ass some silver stickles to the pots for extra bam.

This is just a real quick and simple card great for a thank you or thinking of you!

A light in my tunnel

Happy Monday! I am praying that everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was on the other hand full of mommy chores and getting ready to move across the great US.

I have a new post over at The Great Impressions today.

So I thought this was a stamp well with a meaning for me. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I used the wonderful stamp called Seaside Lighthouse.

I used some red jute, white crackle paint, copics, and I used Spellbinder Circle Dies to cut the image out. I also used a blue sheet of paper from a Bo Bunny paper pad. I really had fun coloring this stamp and loved using the crackle paint to weather the card.

Hope you enjoyed my card and don't forget to check back tomorrow for Jenny's newest creation.

I also have a post over at

Creative Inspiration Paints

I used a wonderful stamp from Sweet Stamps called Tropical Fish Silhouette (small).

I usedheat embossing first with clear detail powder, then used the salt licked technique, and then some over stamping. I made this bookmark because I needed a new bookmark and I love the the sea and fish tanks. I also used some fibers I had laying around to look like seaweed.

For CIP colors I used

Three Little Bunnies

Good Monday to everyone. We are already in May and the year is almost halfway over! Isn't that a little crazy.  Don't forget our new challenge started this past Sunday!

Well today I wanted to share a little card I made. I didn't get a chance to use my bunnies during the Easter rush for cards so I am using them now.

I really wanted a soft card and I accomplished that using Great Impressions Stamp #E749 Bunny Backs. I really did not want to do to much because I didn't want to take away form the image.

I used  and colored if with copics and then used Bundled Sage distress ink for the grass.
I used an older paper pad from Die Cuts With a View and I used a Label 4 spellbinder die.

I finished the card off with some crinkle ribbon!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget Jenny will have a wonderful project tomorrow.
