Shanna's Monday

How is everyones Monday starting off??? Mine is off to a great start. I got some new crafty goodies and learned a few new techniques and made a few more projects. I think I will start saying I had a great Shanna kind of weekend lol. Is everyone excited now that CHA is over and the newest goodies are starting to roll out???
 Well today's post is for

Well it is almost August which means a new release and challenge is coming your way.

So here is a little peek from our last release. I couldn't resist doing another summer theme card as it is still in the 100's here when it is not raining.

I used Life's a Beach (e761) with some Fancy Pants or Echo Park paper.

I didn't do too much just wanted something simple. I am working on my masculine ideas since I am due with a little man of my own at the end of the year. When your use to girlie boy is it hard.
Well hope you have been inspired for a last minute reach at wanting some summer fun!

Don't forget you still have time to enter our challenge for July!

I decided to use a Sugar Nellie image I had pre colored for this. The Simple Stories papers went perfectly with this image. I love these little fairies. I need more and hopefully they come out with some new one soon.

I used some green ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon (June Club I believe). The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, tons of stickles and some cheesecloth.

A few projects I finished

Hey everyone. It is a wonderful Tuesday... okay a tiring Tuesday. I am really worn out and had a busy weekend. I started having contractions way too early as I still have 16 weeks left to go. I tried my best to lay down and relax but goodness was that such a waste of time. the next best thing was coloring alone with my music while my daughter bugged her grandma lol.

I got quite a bit done in trying to relax... then the frustration got to me when it came time to edit everything. There are a good 10 homes being built on my moms block. She lives of course in a brand new development that is still devloping. So all this commotion is messing with her wifi because she does not have a hardwire internet service :(.

So with all the bits and pieces of a fun but not so fun weekend i was able to get ahead on some design team things and make a few extras to play challenges on the side!

I had colored her a while back playing around with coloring folds and pleats.

I love seeing the Kimmie girls do paper piecing all the time so I gave it a try.

I am not going to lie. I use to be really good at coloring black and white or sepia. The color pop was a challenge and I think I ruined the image a bunch. I must say this is not my favorite work I have done. I picture her a brunette and I messed up the kite so then I had to improvise and cut it out. For not going how I wanted it to go it turned out okay though.

For a last project I made a mini mini album. Not a lot of pages but good for a little gift and something small for a keepsake. I used the Simple Stories paper line.... I love their paper because you can cut it up into little things! So much fun to make this little album!

Get your Rain Boots

Hello everyone. Big Happy Monday to all those out there reading this.

Well it is Shanna here to share with you a fun springy summer card. I have been dying to use this stamp since I got it and I finally decided to use it with all the rainstorms we have been getting here in Vegas. (Yes it rains in Vegas - sometimes lol!)

For my card I am using the stamp When it rains (F448)

Here is a picture of the whole card. I used some MME papers, and a scalloped rectangle with some blue inking.

Flowery huh!!!

Here is a shot of the flowers I painted and stacked up. I had to do a few layers  to get a really good bold color and the shine is just amazing and the colors go so well with the paper.

I used the inks from Creative Inspirations Paints

T is for 2x2

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am 21 weeks today. I feel like I am 30 weeks already with how big he is. I am going to have a tall boy that is for sure. His legs are so long and when he tries to stretch errr you can already see my belly jiggle. It is funny but still I am trying to deal with the fact that I just lost 25 lbs right before I got pregnant and I am freaking out about how I am going to lose it after I have him! I had a lot of help and a nutrionist and tons of working out that didn't really help too much without diet pills.

ABC Challenge

T is for 2x2
(Use two of something ... 2 buttons, 2 ribbons, 2 flowers, etc.)

Sponsor this challenge is

and

The Little Ribbon Shop

Well I haven't had access to a good printer and hoping soon to have some ink in my moms printer to use hers! I chose to use a Magnolia image from Christmas last year. I figured it would be good to do a Christmas in July style card.

I used only one image, but two flowers of each style, two trims, and two design papers and two solid colors.

I really loved the Kasiercraft paper pad last Christmas. I hate gold on my but love gold on a card. It just pops Christmas too me.

I used some stardust stickles on the bodice and liquid pearls on her hair.

Here is the whole card. The papers are kraft and My Mind's Eye.

I used a Great Impressions Stamp Summer Days for a sentiment.

I used the mini rolled rose dies from MFT, leaf dies from CC designs, and the mini flower dies from Magnolia.

Nature Garden Mini

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their week. I am still bummed that we had to put our puppy down Friday. I have a few things I worked on before he got sick that I finally got around to photographing this mini.

This is my newest finish I have a few more that I started and need to finish and photograph as well. I think embellishing a bunch at the same time just keeps me in a embellish mood I think.

Well this mini is a paper bag mini using Prima's Nature Garden collection. I used some lace, seam binding ribbon, and tons of pearls.

There are so many pockets on each page to add your own little goodies and journaling.

Each paper bag has an insert to add a photo too and journal on a side.

Each flap is a pocket as well.

I know so many pages to look at right. I am sure whoever gets this mini album will be super happy with it for something simple and plain. I did not go over board with this as it was my first and I wanted to try something on this level in a very simple manner.

I have more coming so don't forget to check back. Also don't forget tomorrow I will have a blog hop up to win some free stamps!
