Textured Window

Hello lovelies. I saw and heard something that inspired me and I decided to go for it. I created this art journal page specifically for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

*Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.*

I don't normally do chipboard art journal pieces, but decided to turn my recent art journal piece to come to life.

The Windows 4 Panel got a coat of modeling paste. I didn't want it smooth. I wanted it choppy so that when I went over it with my Prima Chalk Edger it really brought out the details so much.

The heart is my favorite piece. I started with some gloss gel and glitter but didn't like it so I wiped it off. Then went in with more gloss gel and covered it with some copper embossing powder. The magic happens when you use your heat gun to melt the powder. It bubbles underneath with the melted powder an created this amazing look.

So don't forget to play with some embossing powder or modeling paste.

Me, Myself, and I Art Journal

Well. I haven't had a chance to play in my art journal lately. I whipped that bad boy out and got to it.
Lately, I have been listening to Pandora and found this artist. I love his music and decided to incorporate it into my art journal that I am sharing today over at The Crafter's Workshop blog today.

I hope you stop by and check it out for the step-by-step tutorial I created.

Shine Bright

Hello to all you lovelies out there. I went ahead and created a canvas today! These use to intimidate me but they are so easy to really just add a little something to change them.

Today I am sharing my recent canvas with you all that I created for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

I started with a blank canvas and added texture with paste. Then colored it with sprays and India Ink splatters.

Then I found my chipboard piece covering it with gesso.
Then I had a lightbulb idea..... play with something you hardly every use anymore!

I grabbed some embossing powder from Ranger and covered the LampPost with it. I heat set it and all sorts of textured showed.

Finally I finished it off with some flowers.

I love that one piece can really stand out and make such a difference.

Special Layout

Hey all you chippie lovers! I created this layout for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

I wanted to play with this elegant and beautiful chipboard piece and I finally found the perfect photo to pair with it.

Of course my chipboard got a coat of gesso to prep the surface. Then I played around with some different mediums to create a different texture on the the boarder.

I also created texture and used bright Twinkling H20'a to enhance the pop of the Victoria Boarder.

What do you think, want to grab some boarders and create too? We would love to see your creations over at the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Facebook Page so stop by, join, and say hi.

Anything Goes at The Inky Chicks

Hello all you crafter's out there!!!! I am here to tell you that there is a new challenge over at The Inky Chicks

This challenge is easy peasy!!! Anything Goes! We just want to see your lovely amazing creations!

I colored this super cute image from the sponsor of the challenge, which is Aliciabel, with copic markers. I paired it with some older Echo Park papers I have.

Then finished the card off with some bright and sparkly snowflakes.

I do hope you play along this challenge with us, as we would love to see your creations.

C'est Magnifique January Guest Creations

Hello to all you lovelies there. I must say my end of the year and start of 2016 has been such a whirlwind!!! As on door closes another opens.

I was recently asked to be a designer for C'est Magnifique Kits and what did you think I said???? Heck yes why not!!! So here is what I was able to create from the amazing kit they sent me to play with for January!

You can see ALL THE JANUARY KITS HERE.

Also C'est Magnifique is having a Pinterest Party..... want to know more??? CHECK IT OUT HERE!

Up first is my first layout. I loved using the different elements from the main kit.

You can see here I used some of the drywall tape from the Mixed Media Kit and I love the wood journaling card from the Embellishment Kit.

For my second layout I created is a beautiful picture of my daughter when she was a baby.

I really love the flower and leaves I used on this layout.  This flower came from the Flower Add-On.

I created a video on how I made this layout. Check it out HERE!

My third layout was just absolute fun.

I used the cardboard sheet with a circle punch and used a sticker from the alpha sheet that was included in the kit.

I had cut out this design that was stitched in from a piece of cloth that was included in the kit with some ribbon and tucked it behind my photo to add a great frame.

For my last creation I made a set of cards.

I layered papers and use the cardboard texture to somewhat create a layer on the card.

I sprayed the flowers from the main kit with spray from my stash to give them a whole new look. I added the word from a die cut in my collection and some plain black cardstock from my stash as well.

For the second I tossed in one of the wood hearts that was covered in gesso and given a spray of mist from my stash. I also tucked in some of the string from the kit.  Again I used the cardboard with a sticker from the alpha sticker sheet and top the flower and tucked in some leaves too.

I hope you found some inspiration from my creations I shared today!

Planner Charms

Hello to all you lovelies. I recently decided to acquire one of those nice planners. I have noticed charms for planners were a great idea. So I pulled out some of my favorite chipboard pieces and gave it a go.  I created these charms for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

As you can see I painted them to sort of match the planner and give them a rusty look. However wait until you see the fronts.

I also had so much fun turning these new charms into pieces I can latch on my my planners (I actually have 2 nice ones now).

Each got painted with some Distress paint and some treated with Crackle Accents.

Now for the main event, I couldn't help but play with my Ice Resin and glitter to put some motivation to see daily.

Here you can see the pop of the white paint and the sparkle of the glitter.

I am however not happy that my black glitter didn't pop like my gold glitter. So WARNING don't use black glitter!

Loving my steampunk theme though I used some rusty teal gears and a boat propeller!

So what I used were:
