Alcohol Inks on Foil

Today I have such a fun project to share with you... My first attempt at using alcohol inks on foil. Of course I use copics all the time but I gave a try at using Tim Holtz inks on some foil that I embossed with the Darice Embossing folder.

I grunged up some orange seam binding ribbon with Walnut Distress stain ink and some cheescloth. I also heat embossed some black powder on some chipboard I altered and cut out using a Tim Holtz die.

This was such a fun project and I got my fingers dirty. I cannot wait to make my next grungy something!

Good Morning everyone. I have a tutorial for you here today that I made for

Crop Stop

   

1.     Score your 4" x 9" cardstock at 4" and 5". Fold the score lines and set to one side.

2.     Take your 7.5” x 8” cardstock and score at 0.5" and 4" on the 7.5" side. Fold the score lines. Using double-sided tape or other adhesive adhere the 0.5" strip to the other side. You end up with a pocket

3.     Score the 'pocket' at 3 3/8" and 4 3/8" and fold the score lines. 

4.     Cut out colored cardstock 4 pieces of 3 1/8” x 3 3/4” for the pockets and 2 pieces of 3 3/4” x 3 3/4”. Emboss them with embossing folder. Then adhere to the coordinating places.

5.     Using a circle punch, or circle die cut, cut out a semi circle on each end of the pocket.

6.     Apply double-sided tape or other adhesive to the spine and adhere to the inside of your cardstock.  Or use brads.

7.  Decorate the front, fill the pockets , and tie closed.

I used a Great Impression Stamp Cup of Cheer for the outside. I used half pearls but you can use a pearl pen for pearls. The flowers are some that I had on hand and used some of the distress stain on.

Right now they are showing off some new embossing folders they have. I really like tearing paper sometimes and that I did for this card. I used a Lili of the Valley stamp and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers just to embellish the card.

A little embossing

Good Morning to all in blogland... Well today is a busy day for me. This morning I will be spending half the day hooked up to monitors since I cannot seem to stay out the hospital because of this little boy. My due date is fast approaching though and they are doing everything they can to keep him in. I think he really want to get here around his sisters birthday so he can still her spotlight lol! Sibling rivalry already! I can see them fighting for halloween parties every year!  I also have my maternity shoot with my daughter tonight!!!

I am so excited as I am their first guest designer for their newest approach since they stopped their challenges!

Here is a card I made using some ombre ribbon. Ombre is a new thing to me and I couldn't figure out how to make it work but then I thought the cancer ribbon style was perfect with a big flower.  

I colored the flower with Milled Lavender stain and embossed some milled lavender with Couture Creations embossing folder. I used a Magnolia image and colored her with copics.
