Friends and Family

Hello everyone.
It has been so much fun these last few months creating for Frosted Designs.
Sadly this is my last post as we move towards the New Year which means time for some new faces and others to share their love for creating.

So for my post today I wanted to share a little holiday cheer.

I love using my Gelatos to add color to my modeling paste.

I had to add a flower to this fun and festive card. I wish you all Happy Holidays.

Christmas Layout with Twist

Hey everyone today I have this awesome new layout to share. Talk about a tough challenge over at Frosted Designs!!! We really want to see you get creative and have fun with this awesome theme.

Our theme this challenge is
Christmas Layout (No Green and No Red)

So this is what I came up with. These our are Christmas photos from last year. More like fall but they were for Christmas :)

I added some Gina's Designs chipboard that I used that amazing Prima Glass Glitter for a pop off the layout.

I used the gold gelato for my base then used a stencil with molding paste to add a little texture in the background too.

It wouldn't be a layout without a title and I wanted to share a Merry Christmas!

Two Tags

Happy Monday! It is the beginning of the week and I have some new inspiration to start you off this week. I created these tags for Frosted Designs.

Who loves just playing around with stuff on your desk????
I do. So here is what I created.

Both tags got some Tim Holtz rub ons, then some Distress Ink, and then I used the stencil to add some fun to my tags.

Both tags got a different sentiment which is also a rub on. I also finished them off with some thread, flowers, and ribbon.

White Space

Good morning and Happy Friday.

I have the post for the blog hop CLICK HERE!

I am so in love with these cards I made. It was such a crazy fast throw together I have no idea how I did it. I loved stamping the background and then going over it with the powders. Then I added the stamping and then the embellishments.

These were both so much fun. Each color has so much shimmer and they were so much fun to make. I love the white space appeal too.

Fall Colors with a twist

Happy Fall everyone. It has officially cooled off the mornings are foggy and the nights are cool. In fact the other night, well morning, there was an eclipse!!! Did any of you get to see it?

Well since it is Fall we have a Fall themed challenge for you this time.

We want to see:
Fall Colors  minimum of 2 colors (Reds, Browns, Yellows, and Oranges)
Ink
Bling

For my Fall project I created a tag. I had lots of fun doing this one. Tags are so simple and easy to create and you really can't mess them up!

First I coated the tag with gesso, then I went over the gesso with my gelatos and water.  Then I used some Tim Holtz rub ons.  I added some Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray (Bayou Boogie Gold) and another yellow goldfish color.

After that I used some Prima Modeling Paste and Stencil to add the crackle and then sprayed that with more Lindys.

I couldn't find the bling I needed so I added some Mica Flakes to sparkle and bling through.
Then I finished the tag off with some seam binding ribbon and more Prima (leaves and metal pieces).

Happy Fall Y'all!

So for what I did in my art journal I gathered my supplies.

Laid some ink on my craft mat.

Used water on a brush and picked up color. I went to town watercoloring.

Here is the page before I added the writing and stamping.

Here are some close ups.

Graffiti

Good morning and happy day to you all. I have a new art journal page I created. I am telling you I am loving these stencils. I wasn't to sure but OMG I LOVE THEM.

This page I had no clue what I was doing but I did it. I had made so much black modeling paste for a different project and didn't want it to go to waste so I smooched this stencil on a journal page and go to using.

On the other page I came up with the saying which is hard to see so lesson learned write bigger and darker (well I used black but still).

I gave the pages a quick coat of gesso. Went to town with my gelatos and then wrote on top with the saying.

Here she is the beautiful Free Spirit stencil from Prima.

I also used another stencil from Prima but cannot remember the name :(.

"Learn from all the negative in life."

Mixed Media Tag for Frosted Designs

Hello everyone. Super excited this is my first official post as a Frosted Designs DT Member.

Today I am sharing with you a tag I made. I really enjoy mixed media! Sadly I do not have the proper lighting for the true colors to show on this tag but this was the daylight. I love the Industrial Chic Spray Set. The Magicals are just as fun. I used both here on this tag!

First I covered the tag with the Rusty Lantern Lime spray. Then I used the Time Travel Teal with a stencil. Then I used the Shabby Turbine Teal Magical with the paste and again with the same stencil.

I also used the Steel Shimmer with paste with The Crafters Workshop Well Rounded to add more texture. I topped off the feathers with some glass bead gel and finished the tag off with some Prima Flowers and Prima stitching stamping.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you were mixed media inspired. There is tons of amazing products in the store. Below are just a few that I used.

Frosted Designs Challenge

Hello Everyone. Today I am sharing my very first post with Frosted Designs.

They are having a challenge this go around of flowers and stitching.

Here are all three ATC's I made.

For my first card I used some favorite colors red, yellow, and blue gelatos. First I laid a layer of gesso. It created a great surface for gesso. I also used some black gelato to color my molding paste. Used a TCW stencil to add then added my faux stitching using Prima stamps. I also added some glass beads to the flowers.

This second one was fun. Again laid down a layer of gesso, then my gelatos, and I really loves using a stamp with watermark ink and some Lindy's Magicals. I added some Distress Glitter to my dragonfly and glossy accents to my flower.

My last ATC I used the steampunk gelato set. I love these colors. I even colored the flowers with the Black Cherry gelato. I added some crackled accents to make it pop and a pow.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. Make sure to check back for more.
