I Remember...

Good Morning! Well this is a scheduled post considering my daughter's party is today. Wish me the best of luck! My two year old is getting too big. I wish I could go back to the moment when I first held her. I really miss those days when she was small, laid there, and didn't get into to anything!

Anyways we have a new challenge over at

"I Remember"

Our sponsor this week is

For this challenge I used the new Sweet Christmas Dreams maggie Ice Tilda. I used her because I remember my first time on ice skates. I was in day care during the summer because my mom worked. I was young in elementary school. I was really nervous because I didn't know how to to ice skate. I could roller skate but that was 4 rollers and I was balanced. It was a good time though. I did fall a little bit here and there but it was really fun. She was so fun to color. I really wanted to use colder tones of girlie colors and I was able to do that with some new paper pads by My Mind's Eye. I used some snow white flock from Sparkle n Sprinkle, lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon, hemp from my stash, stardust stickles, snow crystals, copics for coloring, MS border punch and snowflake punch, a doohickey die, pearls, SU dye ink (don't remember the color name) and sentiment from inkadinkado I believe but don't hold me to that.

Cake Card partial

Well Hellllluuuuurrrrrr everyone....sorry Tyler Perry is on my brain I love me some Madiea! Anyway I am super excited.....my first attempt at a cake card. I am at a B for looks and A for effort...As you can see I tried to use the snow write on the punch out I did and instead of putting it on before I mounted it to the cake I got paint on the cake part..... I will be on a mission to find some puff paint without having to order it! First I will be working on making my own copic storage since copic storage is so expensive and the color cubbie is no longer available! LOL and to think I have never used an electric saw this shall be interesting!!!! Well let's move on to my card.

She is not 100% finished... I need more ribbon to close her and candles!!! I gotta run to the store and get some. But I wanted to enter her into some challenges!

Secret Tilda

Good Evening To All....First off let me start by saying thank you to all who commented. It was a real confidence booster!

So yesterday I saw a challenge and I jumped for it. I was always the one who was over prepared in school and with this I felt so not prepared. I literally did it and was racing the clock with a few minutes to spare before the challenge closed. I cannot stress how new I am to blogging and to card making. I love coloring and crafts, always have. Hopefully I will get a routine down as far as challenges and dates so that I can be prepared. I have a calendar that I plan on filling out (like I said over prepared).

Well here she is... she is the Secret Tilda from the 2010 Merry Christmas Collection. I know it is not Christmas but she was good for what I needed. I used regular cardstock, DCWV citrus cardstock and Basic Grey cardstock called Ambrosia. The embellishments are really nothing too much ribbon from Reasonable Ribbon called Penelope. I got the crazy idea to weave some paper through some of it. Turned out awesome I think. Next I am not big with using sentiments which I obviously need to get use to. I used my cricut to cut out a tag and used some distess ink. Then I used some leftover thread from a cross stitch I did a few years ago and tied it to the lace.

Of course she was colored with copics. I will be practicing with distress inks really soon.
Hair: E31, YR21 & 20; Skin: E21, 00, & 000; Shirt, Bow, & Socks: R27, 17, 22, 14, & 12; Pants: E40-44.

Challenges she is going to be in

I am not 100% about her because I had short time to really think and work on her, but I cannot wait until tomorrow. I have a wonderful card that I am crazy about. Can't wait to post it for everyone to see.
Goodnight crafters.

Spring Card

Hello to everyone. This is my first Magnolia Stamp post. I am so excited because I just love these little angels. Her name is Tilda with a Peony. I got her from 7 Kids College Fund, but she can also be bought at Magnolia-licious and at the StampingScrapping store. The cardstock I used to color on was from Paper Temptress and it is 80lb. Heavenly White. My flowers used are Prima flowers from the craft store. I used a flower cuttlebug embossing folder and went over that with my Distressed Inks Antique Linen and Mustard Seed.

For Copics I used E49, E49, E25, and E53 on her hair; Y11, Y13, and Y15 on her dress; E000, E00, and E21 on her skin; BV31, BV02, BV04 on her flower, bow, and shoes. I also used Distress Inks color Bundled Sage for grass. Oooo I almost forgot I believe I used B000 or B10 ( I don't really remember) to add some sky colors behind her.

The ribbon I used  is from Really Reasonale Ribbon. I will be entering her into the Magnolia-licious Easter-Spring Extravaganza Contest for category one out of the 3 caterogries to enter in. I am still learning so I cannot wait for more challeneges. I have the challenges that I like to look at and try at the bottom of my blog. Thanks for stopping by and check back for more to come!
