I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I know mine is not what I expected. I did stay up late trying to get a jump on this weeks challenges and making some on the side creations and trying a ton of new techniques. Most of you know products from CHA has started to arrive so check out the store here as they update new products constantly. They already have the new My Mind's Eye paper pads in as well as some of My Favorite Things products in as well as the new CC Designs February release of dies and stamps you can get in rubber or digi!

So for my card I went full out blue and cream using Beary Big Hugs colored with copics . I used some paper from MME. I added some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot, pearl pins and pearls, jute, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is a SU stamp, and used some distress inks.

Lurve

Good Evening everyone. I hope you are enjoying the start of the weekend.
I am kind of bummed as I was suppose to be going to Florida this week. Unfortunately, my fiance is working 12 hours shifts so it will be extremely hard to spend time with him at the moment...so we will be having some family time this summer and maybe make a weekend trip to the beach when he is not working! Last year we did a family trip at the beginning of the year and went to Florida near Tampa and rented a vacation home on the water that had a pool... talk about FUN! We spent more time out and about but got in the pool a few times. So maybe this year we can just go be at the beach....I miss the beach.. I miss the sun... I miss the salty water smell... I miss the sound of the waves... Sounds bad huh. I do not even swim but boy do I love the water and the beach!

Anyway there is a new challenge

Totally Gorjuss

has the theme of

So today I used a new maggie. She is so adorable. I love her lace shoes.... if you look carefully the bottoms say LOVE. I love the dark earthy, rustic, and grungy kind of look of My Mind's Eye Union Square paper pad... it is so similar to the Lost and Found Christmas pad they had... I am hoarding that as I love those papers too much!

Now I lost some images last week that were already colored that threw off my week last week which threw off this week. Well I pulled everything together quickly and well I think. I found those lost images :) Here is one from the infamous Krista Smith. I love her digis... I am anxiously waiting to see what her ideas give us next. I really love this Queen of Hearts. It was from her Alice in Wonderland release a little while back. I colored this image with copics and used some Bo Bunny papers as well as a Magnolia sentiment. I added some glitter to the image and then thought to make some scrap hearts from some Starbucks coffee collars I was saving for recycle challenges. After I cut the hearts out I used some crackle paint and after that dried some Barn Door DI.

They have the new My Mind's Eye paper pads in stock and shipping now as well.

Hope you have a chance to check out what the rest of the team has created and have a chance to play with us!

Seeing Red Apples

Good morning....Afternoon...Evening.....

We have a new challenge over at

the theme is

"Red"

Our Sketch for this week is

You totally have the option of playing the sketch or playing the theme or playing both!

So I did an extremely CAS card for this week as CAS seems to be the theme kind of everywhere. I used one of the newest digi images called My Oh My Apple Pie and I colored him with copics and used a Pixie Cottage sentiment The Best Things in Life and embellished the card with rhinestones. I did a fussy cut and repositioned the apples. Remember for the challenge you can use any brand or image you like. We would love for you to use a Pixie Image and you can get the digis for super cheap and instant gratification instead of having to wait for the rubber image to arrive!

Hazel and Nutty

Just wanted to share a card I made the other day. I haven't played with any challenges lately and I wanted to share this that I made the other night. I was so excited for the circus I did not sleep really so I crafted. I really loved how it turned out! Most of the products I used can be bought here.

Sugar Nellie image Hazel and Nutty, Great Impressions sentiment, Bo Bunny PapersCopics, cheesecloth, liquid pearls, vellum stick tag, recollections flowers, Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Berry EP (used on the brad for the flower). I really love this image.

Valentine Monday

Good morning. Did everyone have a wonderful weekend?  I must say mine was not the best and definitely one I want to forget. My daughter started with rubbing her poo in the carpet Friday night. Saturday she was horrific at the circus.... not something she will get to do for a while! Sunday well :( let's just say the day slipped away. The Terrible twos is in full swing 100%. Needless to say I need a mommy weekend full of wine, chocolates, sexy men on tv, and a whole lot of music while I craft!

But enough of that and let's move onto wait it is February....
that means there is a new Stamp of the Month (SOM)

You should definitely get your local stores to carry them. SOM are the newest stamps The Great Impressions puts out.  If you did not know they are such a wonderful range of stamps great for anyone in wood or cling. I can't wait until you see next months (March SOM). You are in for a fun and humorous surprise.

Well for my card to share with you today I had a blast of inspiration this week and extra time to spend as my daughter had plenty of time out last week. I created a card using a cuttlebug button embossing strip, made a rosette out of red cardstock and cut the ends so it gave it the extra pizazz, some ribbon fromThe Great Impressions from the 2011 SOM and I used last months SOM Swirly Valentines (E746) and the Heart Dandelions (G320) to add the finishing touch. However, behind scenes the design team has a little challenge we are doing to show challenge ourselves creatively. This week each member will be show casing a project using embossing (heated or dry). Therefore I am showcasing both. My favorite is heat embossing! I love watching the magic happen when it melts.
So I used clear detail embossing powder an white card stock for the Heart Dandelions and I went over them with Barn Door DI and used a 1.5" Circle  Punch to punch it out for my rosette topper.

Then I used Red Apple embossing powder to add this sweet fancy sentiment. Hurry up and get some Great Impressions Valentine stamps to make for your sweeties!

Don't forget the store is moments from opening and they are working hard up in Washington to bring you some wonderful stamps!

Clean and Simple

FIRST PLEASE GO HERE AND CHECK OUT MY NEW POST PLEASE!!!!!!

SECONDLY, this is a pre-written post as this weekend I will be pooped out!

New Challenge Theme is...

"CLEAN AND SIMPLE"

Our sponsor is the wonderful

Simon Says Stamp

Okay so a whole hooplah of a week I had. Our weather has been so crazy one day it is warm enough to wear shorts and shirt, the next day we have tornado storms, and then the next it is freezing and there is ice everywhere. So needless to say my daughter has really bad allergies and of course we played outside on the nice day, went grocery shopping on the rainy day, and she had gymnastics on the freezing day (which we spent out and about because I needed to run errands and get some new glasses and sunglasses). So we are both sick. Her's started with tons of sneezing and boogies everywhere. Mine started with a sore throat and her's is progressing into a sinus infection :(. My poor baby finally just all better from her being sick the WHOLE month of December. I just got better and finally back in the gym.  In fact I LOST another 4 lbs last week!!!!!! I am so excited and I just can't hide it!!! Well sucky part is my jeans are a little too baggy and even wearing a belt I am still pulling them up lol. What's even worse is I still don't fit my smaller pairs I use to wear before I had my daughter yet...

Well to get on with this... I made this card for The Great Impressions for tomorrows post but my image I planned on using for this card disappeared. I didn't have time to color a new on either... so I went to reprint my stack of digis I lost and wouldn't you know it was my last piece of copic paper :( I don't know how I let myself lose track of the most important part of my hobby lol. I swear I need to keep a self full if I could afford it. I am hoping to get some in soon. So I used Great Impression stamp ...... and embossed it with Sparkle n Sprinkle Red Apple embossing powder. I used a piece of Bo Bunny paper and some twine. I added a heart charm just for an extra touch. But I don't think I could make anything more CAS as you have seen CAS seems to be the way to go right now.

Sketchy Time

Good evening everyone. Are you ready for the weekend? I am. I am taking my daughter to the circus!!! I haven't been to the circus in forever and honestly I am nervous. It will be me and my fiance's mom since my fiance skipped town on us to go to work.

Well the new challenge is over at and this week we have a sketch.

SKETCH

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Johanna

Okay if there is a person out there who does not love Krista's images shame on you. I love these little cuties. I printed her rather large so that I could practice my distress coloring with  copics. I really need to practice as this was my first attempt. Isn't she adorable?? The papers are from the new Glitz Designs line I really like their paper line but make sure you use a heavy cardstock for your base because their paper is really thin and flimsy... maybe a good thing because it seems like recycled paper (Yay is eco-friendly)!

Here is the whole card. I thought my Thinking of you stamp would show up better but since everything seems kind of dark and dingy I thought I wouldn't change it or try to stamp it and I didn't want to cover up the back paper any more than I had.

Hope you can stop by and play our sketch!

Extra Hearts

Well today is my first time writing up a post and picking a colour scheme for everyone to play along with over at

Colour Create

So for this challenge I thought "let's get ahead for Valentines Day" to myself and thought there might be a few several out there with that idea, just like me.

So here is a photo for inspiration

All  you chocolate lovers out there... this one is for you.

We want to see your

Whites or CreamsLight Browns, and Dark Browns

and for extra fun you have the option to add

Extra Hearts

I used and Edwin from the newest Magnolia release. Crazy because it seems like a new set will be coming out soon....very soon in fact I think it will be summer images and then next will be fall images at the end of the year! I wish I was part of Magnolia somehow so I could see things before they come out!

Anyway I used some white detail embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle (they are having a sketch challenge that just started), some copic markers, my new sewing machine, viva decor pen, distress inks, and a white gel pen! You can buy a lot of these items over at ALL THAT SCRAPS!!! They are having some really big sales to make room for some new CHA items get excited!
