A Special Recipe

For products used on my card

SHOP HERE

Well great Thursday morning to you all. I had a horrible Wednesday. Not one single thing went right after the wonderful Tuesday I had. By the end of the night, all I could think of was holy moly give me my red bull in the morning to get me through spin class tomorrow and then how lovely it would be to take a rest of my lifetime shower afterwards lol. As you read this I will be in spin class trying to shed the pounds. I love it and I am praying the people who are normally there that really get the class motivated will be there tomorrow to help get me through it.

There is a new challenge over at

A Recipe

1 stamped or digi image
1 sentiment
2 ribbon
3 pattern papers
4 embellishments (can be 4 of the same or 4 different ones)

So I used this lovely Daffodil. Spring is right around the corner for some of us. Although where I live I am not sure if it wants to be summer, winter, or spring. I used papers from Crate Papers new line. These just went perfect for what I wanted to do.

I even had Wild Orchid daffodil, I added some liquid pearls, a fun brand new ribbon from the ribbon club over at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The sentiment was made using letter from a MS stamp on a die cut out from a Tim Holtz die.

Things With WIngs

I had a blast making this card. I feel like I almost went a little over haul with it. The image is a fall image with leaves and pumpkins. Flower soft was the only thing I had to cover up the leaves the way I wanted to. Then I had to cover the pumpkins. So I thought crap I have everything red and black and now there is pink in the mix too. But I think it turned out okay. I added some pink dots in the background for more pink. The butterflies were awesome on the ribbon. This ribbon was the perfect size I loved it so much and now I am out. I am hoping I can order more. This ribbon is one of my favorites!

So for our challenge I used Pumpkin Fairy Hannah. I loved coloring her!

I used so much on this card. I had a blast making it. I was not sure what colors I wanted to use red so bad so I went for it. I used a MS punch, painted the smaller butterflies with Fairy Dust CI Paints, I added some liquid pearls to the big ones. I used Summer Flower Soft to cover up the leaves and some Wild Orchid Flowers to cover up the pumpkins. I colored this image with copics and added some gold stickles to the wings.

Okay I think I may have a new favorite Tilda. She was so fun to color. I am still waiting around for my Spring 2012 Magnolia kit.... which was suppose to be to me before the stamps were in the store. I am not sure if I am the only person waiting anxiously before stamps get sold out. I have seen newer stamps too that are coming out after the Prince and Princess line.
MAGNOLIA I AM ON PINS AND NEEDLES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Hurry up!

I haven't made an easel card in a while so here it is. I played along with the TOMIC sketch and threw in the birthday sentiment.

I used a stamp from the $1 bin at Michaels for the other sentiment. The papers are a mix between Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye. The Lace is from Ribbon Girl and the Satin Ribbon is from a stash I have from Michaels. I added some cheesecloth and a Maya Road chipboard tag covered with Walnut Stain and a SU rub on. Of course this little cutie was colored in copics and then cut out and added to my card.

Secret Saturday - Green
TOMIC - Birthday and sketch
Paper Pal Arts - Limeade, Artichoke, + another colors
RRR - Mono Green

Today is also a special day because The Great Impressions is starting a brand new challenge today. It will last a whole month giving you tons of time to play along. Make sure you also read the rules there are extras for those who use a Great Impression stamp

  YAY challenge #1

Show us something handmade on your card

Easy challenge...maybe a handmade flower, if you knit or crochet a doily, maybe a paper background, a handwritten sentiment.... anything you make handmade!

Remember you have a month to play!

So I have been a good girl well on a gluten free mission (harder than anything in my life), so here is the last of my candy stash in a little container. I cannot remember for the life of me where I saw this tutorial and it was on a personal blog not SCS. I really wish I could remember so I could give her credit.

I used a TH die and embossed the stamp Just Because (E654) with SNS - Cappuccino EP.

I cut out the circles using a spellbinder scalloped circle die, finished the outside off with some rhinestones and jute. Goodness I cannot wait to eat my peppermint candies again!

Please please please stop by and check out what the others created this challenge last a month and you can use any stamp you want!

Have a great Sunday!

Anything Goes

Good Morning everyone. Sorry I do not have a card for you today. Life gave me a very unexpected weekend. I am getting things back under control...... SUPER MOM and SUPER WOMAN. I just keep telling myself I am strong, I am smart, and I can do anything I put my mind too no matter what may be in my way. My week was starting to normal back out. I am truly thankful my mom is coming out to give me a break next week. THANKFUL... I will have another adult around on the same level as me. I will sure have tons of crafty fun while she is here showing her new things and playing with everything we can get our hands on. I am still hoping to figure out what to do with our downstairs formal dining room. I already sold the table YAY for me. It is definitely time to get our floors done and a new dining room table to go in our suppose to be kitchenette area. I want to move my craft stuff into what once was the formal dining room. I found some cheap bookshelves online but does anyone have any ideas for storage to put on bookshelves... and I mean cheap storage. In fact I may have a candy starting March 1 and make a post that will last a month for those who can give me some links on cheap storage ideas.

Anyway today is a new challenge over at

You can play the theme which is Anything Goes, you can play the sketch, or you can play both!

A sad goodbye

I just wanted to make a quick post about my goodbye.

Creative Card Crew is having a new challenge. The new challenge is a theme of Humor and the sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.

No this is my sad goodbye. Creative Card Crew was the first challenge I was ever on. Mari was kind and gave me my first shot at showing off what I could do. She was so amazing and has been such a great friend and inspiration. She had just taken over the blog and it was such a learning process for me and I enjoyed every last minute. Some of you know I have had some health problems and well now to add to my mix some want to be family issues. I really love what I do and that causes problems in my home.

I really appreciate all my followers and my teammates more than anything! Everyone has been so awesome and amazing. The comments I get on my cards just make me feel that much better about what I do and the support I get from my crafty family is the best feeling ever.

Thanks again Mari and the Creative Card Crew Team!
