So today I have some bad but good news. For those of you who have been following my crazy life. I am making some important choices and alterations in my life. So this will be my last post with the Southern Girls. They are quite a bunch of wonderful women. I really love having friends all over the world as we all live such different lives. I really love all the advice I get for my crazy two year old and I just love knowing women that love doing the same thing I do.

They will be having a Design Team Call next month!!! The term is 6 months so get ready they have tons of fun sponsors and challenges ahead!

So here is my last post for the

our theme this week is

"So Distressing"

So for my card I used a Kenny K image (Super Mom). I swear that is me (I just don't wear an apron, and I don't wear high heels anymore either). Having a child has definitely changed my life in a complete 180 so I love this image. I wanted to brighten it up as Spring is fast approaching. I used a new pad from Crate  Paper and some flowers from a Prima tin bundled by a pink flower brad.

I colored the image with copics and used some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used a $1 sentiment stamp from Michael's dollar bin and hand cut it out to look like a banner. I also used liquid pearls to add a pearl to her earring.... Pearls are the next best thing to diamonds! I really hope you like the card and remember you have two weeks to play!

The second challenge of the day would be

108 Anything but a card and abc

Good morning....Afternoon...Evening.....

We have a new challenge over at

the theme is

anything but a card

Well it just so happens that

ABC

is having a

J for Jazz it up challenge (glitter, glam, sparkle, and shine)

with a sponsor of
Bugaboo Digi Stamps

So I decided to use a few different stamps today. For my Pixie Cottage creation I used a sentiment that comes with a yummy cupcake stamp. For a coordinating card I made for ABC I used Bugaboo stamp Mildred Exercises - Box of Chocolates
The bag was made with one 12x12 piece of paper. I used stickles to add glitter and glitz to the handle. I embellished the card with heart rhinestones. My image was colored with copics and pencils. A lot of the products I used can be purchased Here.

Sale and Discounts

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I am a little late with this I had so much running around this morning and my little one is as sick as well sick. Had to make an emergency appointment and get her into the doctor. My poor thing hasn't been sleeping good and has a really bad sinus infection... good and bad for me. Good she sleeps a ton to get better but bad because I hate when she doesn't feel good. Sucky thing was she threw up in my truck on the way home... I had to wait until we were off a back road so I could pull over and clean her up. She is my little trooper and thank goodness for leather seats!

Anyway....

In appreciation for following the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and all the Design Team Blogs, we’re offering a

Good morning Tuesday!

Happy Valentines Day to those who celebrate. I am a party pooper as I think love should be celebrated all the time and throughout the year not just one day a year and then if your married or have an anniversary date. I think special things should be done or surprises anyday.

So today I was suppose to be making a long 10 hour or more drive down to Florida with my two year old and our two dogs (one is a 3 month old puppy) So you could just imagine as a parent this is a big deal. I was going to go stay down there with my fiance but his hours changed at the end of last week to include weekends. That made it pointless to go down as he works 12 hours a day.... that equals no family time huh. So I made the choice to not waste money or my sanity and that we would do a family vacation this summer to Charleston or maybe Virginia Beach.

I am also excited because my mom is coming out at the beginning of next month for a visit. I know I am only 25 but I am really excited. She will be bringing her work which is a bummer but it will be sooooooooo nice to have another adult around that I get along with (for the most part we get along lol).

Well my daughter is nice good and sick thanks to Sunday and the little visit we had and cold weather.
My daughter is allergic to cigarette smoke but everyone on her dad's side of the family smokes. Her grandma had a cigarette while over and it is so cold out she didn't air herself out and came right in making my whole smell like smoke.... and sat right next to Adyson after....needless to say Sunday/Monday morning was a nightmare with her sneezing and snotting everywhere. Monday was not to bad as I jumped real quick with the allergy medicine.

So today there is a new challenge over at

Creative Card Crew

Masculine is the theme

The sponsor is

Now I don't do masculine cards and this was a challenge. I remember I had bought some Tim Hotlz stamps a while ago of course you cannot just buy each individual stamp you have to buy the sets and there are stamps in these packs I thought I would never use. Well here is me using one. I don't see myself in a silhouette of a man holding an umbrella but it came in handy. Well then I though what the heck would this go with TH is grunge not bright and girly.... so I had to flip through pounds and pounds of paper to find a TH pad of paper I had. Thank goodness I know it is really CAS. The sketch I followed calls for a strip underneath.... that part was not gonna happen as my TH pad had nothing else to go with this! So just my luck.... All I know is I cannot wait until more stuff comes out because shopping here I come! I will be stocking the mail man waiting anxiously to cycle through and get giddy with all the new goodies I will be getting with my fiance's hard earned money(I love you baby)!

So here is the card. I truly believe in the sentiment now more than I ever have as I am living the life I imagine and eventually will live the life I dream!

Great Impression Monday

Good Morning everyone it is Shanna here on another Monday to help you get your week started with some Great Impressions inspiration.

First off February is almost over...seriously tomorrow is Valentines Day and then next thing you know snow will be melting, flowers will be blooming, birds will be chirping.... Okay maybe not on this planet. I think when it moved on the axis that seasons somehow changed.... you think they would change the dates considering zodiacs changed do to our planets shift.

Anyways we are not here for science lessons we are here for some good ol' crafting fun!

I thought I would use a stamp from the Stamp Of the Month.  Easter Lily's G452 is the stamp. I really love this stamp a lot!

I really love flowers. I am starting to enjoy coloring flowers more than little people... okay maybe not too much but it is a challenge I take as I am ready for some flowers now on my kitchen mantle brightening up my gloomy home thanks to gloomy weather. I had someone come to give me an estimate on painting the inside of our home and doing our floors lol we have a fireplace that is suppose to be connected to a switch..... the switch is no where to be found.... the builder went bankrupt before finishing the house..... We had our home inspected before buying it.... so what to do! I don't want a fireplace so I think they should take it out put up a wall and give the fireplace to someone else!

Anyway back to stamps lol.

On this care I used the largest classic oval (Large) Spellbinder die, some crackle paint, distress inks, Wild Orchid flowers, gold micro beads, the papers I wish I could tell you but I have no clue, and some ribbon and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

THE STORE IS SO CLOSE TO OPENING
like waiting right outside the door 2 minutes before your favorite store opens its doors for some crazy sale. So keep checking back for the big announcement!

Lurve

Good Evening everyone. I hope you are enjoying the start of the weekend.
I am kind of bummed as I was suppose to be going to Florida this week. Unfortunately, my fiance is working 12 hours shifts so it will be extremely hard to spend time with him at the moment...so we will be having some family time this summer and maybe make a weekend trip to the beach when he is not working! Last year we did a family trip at the beginning of the year and went to Florida near Tampa and rented a vacation home on the water that had a pool... talk about FUN! We spent more time out and about but got in the pool a few times. So maybe this year we can just go be at the beach....I miss the beach.. I miss the sun... I miss the salty water smell... I miss the sound of the waves... Sounds bad huh. I do not even swim but boy do I love the water and the beach!

Anyway there is a new challenge

Totally Gorjuss

has the theme of

LURVE (Love)

So today I used a new maggie. She is so adorable. I love her lace shoes.... if you look carefully the bottoms say LOVE. I love the dark earthy, rustic, and grungy kind of look of My Mind's Eye Union Square paper pad... it is so similar to the Lost and Found Christmas pad they had... I am hoarding that as I love those papers too much!

Now I lost some images last week that were already colored that threw off my week last week which threw off this week. Well I pulled everything together quickly and well I think. I found those lost images :) Here is one from the infamous Krista Smith. I love her digis... I am anxiously waiting to see what her ideas give us next. I really love this Queen of Hearts. It was from her Alice in Wonderland release a little while back. I colored this image with copics and used some Bo Bunny papers as well as a Magnolia sentiment. I added some glitter to the image and then thought to make some scrap hearts from some Starbucks coffee collars I was saving for recycle challenges. After I cut the hearts out I used some crackle paint and after that dried some Barn Door DI.

They have the new My Mind's Eye paper pads in stock and shipping now as well.

Hope you have a chance to check out what the rest of the team has created and have a chance to play with us!

Seeing Red Apples

Good morning....Afternoon...Evening.....

We have a new challenge over at

the theme is

"Red"

Our Sketch for this week is

You totally have the option of playing the sketch or playing the theme or playing both!

So I did an extremely CAS card for this week as CAS seems to be the theme kind of everywhere. I used one of the newest digi images called My Oh My Apple Pie and I colored him with copics and used a Pixie Cottage sentiment The Best Things in Life and embellished the card with rhinestones. I did a fussy cut and repositioned the apples. Remember for the challenge you can use any brand or image you like. We would love for you to use a Pixie Image and you can get the digis for super cheap and instant gratification instead of having to wait for the rubber image to arrive!

Hazel and Nutty

Just wanted to share a card I made the other day. I haven't played with any challenges lately and I wanted to share this that I made the other night. I was so excited for the circus I did not sleep really so I crafted. I really loved how it turned out! Most of the products I used can be bought here.

Sugar Nellie image Hazel and Nutty, Great Impressions sentiment, Bo Bunny PapersCopics, cheesecloth, liquid pearls, vellum stick tag, recollections flowers, Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Berry EP (used on the brad for the flower). I really love this image.
