Happy New Year Early

Sorry for the delay I set my post to post last night and apparently blogger didn't want it to go live.

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas. If your anything like me I am pretty glad it is over. I got almost all the decorations put up. Tomorrow everything will be put back up in the attic. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend actually. My daughter did not sleep so good last night so it may not be so quiet as I would like. But I plan on crafting all weekend and staying out of trouble!
I hope everyone can be safe and remember to call a taxi if you have been drinking or parents...a great time to let those permit children of yours drive you! Or have a designated driver while you be the designated drinker!

I use to be one to party but that was a long time ago in fact I think it has been well over 5 years since I last partied up a New Years. A cup of tea or cocoa and my copics and I will be good for a craft party at my desk. I should have some new goodies in soon, but shhh....don't tell. I also just got word that iCopic has the new 12 markers for pre-order but they don't come out until March.... they are also having a sale right now $4.50 a sketch marker... I wish I had saved a few extra pennies. I need a few refills too.

Well there is a new challenge tonight/ Saturday over at

Our theme this week is

Your choice of Happy
(Happy New Year, Happy Birthday, etc.)

I think this year I really outdid the Christmas thing and I have a few more snowy cards to make. SO for a change I did something really bright. I really needed a change and wanted to finally color some of my new LOTV stamps.

The papers I used are from EP's Springtime pad. I colored her with copics and used some colored pencils here and there as well. The flowers are Recollections (a copy of Prima), and my big yellow ribbon in the back is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Is she not a cutie pie. I will be using her time and time again!

If you get a chance stop by and see what the rest of the team cooked up.

Good Afternoon. My apologies for not having this post up this morning. I swear I am getting worse every day. My throat is completely in pain. I have no voice... no voice with a 2 year old :(. Thank goodness my fiance will be home in a few more days... This mommy needs some quiet time to get better.

Well today we have a new challenge over at

with the theme of

"Celebrate"

This week our sponsor is Stamp and Create.  Someone will win an amazing gift this week, as Lacey is giving this week's winner a fantastic $25 gift certificate to her store!
I used a maggie called Tucked Tilda from the newest Christmas release. I am almost done with Christmas cards. I think I have two more left to finish and I am done.

My papers are from Echo Park. I used a charm a dear teammate of mine sent. She made my Christmas extra special as charms are hard to find in the US. I used some twine and jute, as well as the red ribbon is  from RRR. My flower is a dimensional from Joulee's Boutique.

My sentiment is from Amy R and the embossing powder is from Sparkle n Sprinkle (gold detail) and my pearls were a wonderful gift from Susana.

Blue and Frosty

If you are looking for THE PIXIE COTTAGE HOP please scroll down!

Good morning everyone. Sorry I am a bit behind. Those who follow me know I have had a rough few last weeks with my daughter being sick, smashing her thumb, sick again, fiance sick....Now I am sick it only took three weeks to hit me. So I am a little sluggish and not all there thanks to my handy medicine.

So without further delay lets get started with my TWO challenges today!

The first challenge of the day is

Our sponsor for this challenge is one of my favorites...

Colour Create
is the second challenge of the day and the last challenge for Colour Create of the year and we are going out with a bang of colors before we start our challenges for next year

"Blue, Silver, White plus embossing"

Our Sponsor is a wonderful scrapbook store and home of the Pixie Cottage Stamps

I am using the new Ice Skating Tilda from the newest Christmas collection of Magnolia's. I love blue a lot so this challenge was right up my alley until.... I could not find a blue in my collection to match my coloring of her outfit.   I wanted to keep her simple and not go too over board.

I love my Amy R sentiment stamps and hope to get the new Valentine one's soon very soon.

I used a Prima flower for the center and my roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I thought I was crazy for buying blue roses and that I would never use them....but I found them a good home. I also used my Memory Box die again but I cut it up and used it to branch out from my flowers.

I did a heat emboss on the sentiment in Sparkle n Sprinkles white detail ep. I also embossed the silver paper in the background. I used a lot of picket fence crackle paint on my card. Like everywhere. Even my flowers. I think I really like it on my flowers.

I love my maggies and she is a cutie. She is perfect for practicing folds and fur!

I know it is hard to see, but I used a silver smooch spritz to my blue cardstock to tone it down a bit . I used another Amy R sentiment on the inside making a pop up ribbon banner on the inside.
