Jingle All The Way

Hey Everyone.... I have had a rough day or two. My daughter decided early evening she was going to smash her thumb in a toy chest her grandpa made for her. Welll needless to say we ended up at the hospital, getting x-rays, and thank goodness it did not need stitches. I did a wonderful job of getting it closed and to stop bleeding, but her grandparents made an appearance and playtime began... I don't know how many of you have been in the ER. A two year old who like to play, run, and scream because all her grandparents do is spoil her... drove me crazy. It got her all hyper, she couldn't sit still for the x-ray, her cut opened up again (of course causing her to scream and cry). OH did we have a night. In the end she did not go to bed until after 11 pm. Then she woke up 4 times last night.... definitely not a good night. Then the bandage... I have to keep it wrapped for 24 hours and cannot let it get wet.... how many two year olds can manage that? I swear I cannot catch a break with my fearless wild child.

Today we have a new challenge over at

Our challenge theme is

"Jingle All the Way"

So I hurried to make this card. I am still catching up from her being sick for almost a week, my computer breaking down on me, my printer going out, all while dealing with Thanksgiving, birthdays, and Christmas decor. I think in a hurry this came out wonderfully. I used an older Tilda. The papers are Bo Bunny's "Father Time Collection". I colored her with copics and embellished the card with the edges distressed in antique linen and walnut stain, twine, lace, pearls, MFT rolled mini roses, and a Jingle Bell.

This was such a fun card to make. It took me a bit between my daughter hurting her hand and then me having to watch her constantly. But I really hope you have a chance to come by and play with us over at Paper Cutz.

Let's Talk Turkey

Hello everybody. I hope all is well.

We have a new challenge over at

Let's Talk Turkey

Hey everyone I am very sorry for this post. I know my turkey is not the best. The last two weeks have been a real challenge for me. Between my daughter being sick for 4 days, me going to the doctors, and the wild weather I did not have time to make a fancy fancy card. I did get to play with some ribbon and make a turkey though. My sentiment is from SU and my cardstock is from my stash.

Gobble Gobble

Good EARLY MORNING craft ladies and gents! I am so hoping that as you read this I am awake and at the gym working off the gained eating cake, ice cram, and candy this week.  Which is really really really funny because the new challenge today over at
is
#116 "GOBBLE GOBBLE"
Make something for Thanksgiving incorporating your favorite recipe...

Of course now you see why this is bad for me. I am an eater, and not just any kind of eater. I love southern foods (which can kill you) and sweets. I am a sucker for anything I can bake. I have of course over the last three years modified recipes and experimented to make things healthier to eat, but still a sweet treat is still SWEET! In fact this weekend, I will be having a go at cranberry bread and sweet potato "pie" bread. Of course cranberries are healthy and so are sweet potatoes. I will be adjusting my sugars and omitting glazes, but mmm if I can snack on it breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and not feel guilty I think I deserve a thumbs up!

Now onto my card. I used an older maggie. I colored her with copics, added some gems, some stitching, used SB dies, MME cardstock, a SU sentiment and real red ink, and Wild Orchid Flowers.

A New Leaf

Hey Everyone. There is a new challenge over at

"Turning Over a New Leaf" Make a card, LO or craft project for Fall using LOTS of leaves and any colors you'd like, EXCEPT NO GREEN or BLUE.

Okay so this was very hard to not use green. The blue I think I got away with but no green.... I struggled with trying to not add green to my fallen leaves and I have to really work on brown pants versus denim jeans. I think I did good though.
I used copics of course and some Prima leaves I think they are Prima. I also used a tim holtz stamp to do my corners and embossed them with SNS Halo emobssing powder. I used Walnut stain distress ink and some lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I was bummed that I did not have time to order any autumn flower soft (my local (not so local) scrapbook sotre went out of business).

If you get a chance come play with us and use those leafy fall images!

Stars, circles, and Diamonds

Hello Everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know there is a new challenge over at

The challenge is STARS, CIRCLES, and DIAMONDS on a Halloween theme...
Just think of all the possiblities!

So stop on by and play with us for this fun theme!

I used a lot on this card. I colored my image with copics. I added distress inks on edges after distressing the edges. I added some recollection rhinestone swirls...I have no festive sentiments so I have to come up with something. I think my sentiment ruined the card honestly. lace and ribbon is from RRR and my papers are from My Mind's Eye and Echo Park.

Scarecrow

Hello Everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know there is a new challenge over at

The challenge is SCARECROWS...
but yellow, brown, black, white, blue, and orange are the only colors you can use.

So stop on by and play with us for this fun theme!

This was a doozey for me because I have never seen a scarecrow besides on the Wizard of Oz. So in search I went for a scarecrow. I love Mo images and I got this scarecrow for her site. (PLEASE RESPECT HER IMAGES AS WELL AS OTHER ANGEL POLICIES for stamps). I just happened to have a scarecrow button I cut the button hoop off of the back so it would lay flat. I used some ribbon from RRR and my sentiment is from SU. My papers are DCWV and KC & Company and I colored him with copics... once again a challenge. This is my second attempt to coloring him. My first attempt accidentally got reprinted over because I wanted to print another image next to him and bam I forgot how to load it in my printer.... ERRR I had to start all over.  This time I think I am happy because it turned out awesome. I love the sentiment considering once again I have never seen a scarecrow... except the new maggie scarecrow.

Come stop by and play with us.

Button Up

Hey Everybody.... Happy Thursday to ya! It is time for a new challenge over at

Button Up ( Use lots of buttons)

I used some buttons from my stash for this challenge. I used lace from my RRR stash, papers are Bo Bunny, and my flowers are prima. I colored my image with copics and boy what this a tough challenge. I am not the best jean colorer by far. I do not have any button up kind of images but this was a fun one to use. I haven't seen overalls in years like decades! And I am not that old.
Hop on over to the challenge and check out other design teams pages for inspiration.

First Paper Cutz DT card

Hello Everyone and good morning. I have a new card to share with everyone. It is my first challenge as a design team member for

Paper Cutz

Our challenge this week is

"Caution... Ghost Crossing"
But you can only use the colors white, orange, black, and purple!

Here I used some cling stamps I have in a holiday stash. I used some white staz on pigment ink and clear embossing powder on my ghosts. I then cut them out and used pop dots to make them stick out off the page. I stamped spider webs around the edges of my paper and used plain cardstock from my stash and distressed them. The ribbon is from the September ribbon club from Really Reasonable Ribbon! I cannot wait to make more cards this week. So play along and have some fun with us and check back later to see what else I have created!
